Did I just see a top 10 lber list that didn’t include Devin White?

According to PFF (before the 2020 season).

Interesting enough, they have him rated at 43.4 overall and 69.0 in the post-season.

1. Fred Warner - 6'3, 236

2. Bobby Wagner - 6'0, 245

3. Eric Kendricks - 6'0, 232

4. Lavonte David - 6'1, 233

5. Demario Davis - 6'2, 248

6. Blake Martinez - 6'2, 237

7. KJ Wright - 6'4, 246

8. Mykal Walker - 6'3, 220 - 90.7 coverage grade/50.4 run defense

9. LJ Fort - 6'0, 232

10. Darius Leonard - 6'2, 234

11. Myles Jack - 6'1, 244

Kyle Pitts ran a 4.46 40 at his pro day.

This doesn't guarantee success but he hits an elite level in the HASS Speed Score (Height Adjusted Speed Score).

Since 2011, here are the top guys:

  • DK Metcalf - 133.67
  • Chase Claypool - 130.65
  • Kyle Pitts - 130.00
  • Darren Waller - 128.92
  • Julio Jones - 127.79
  • Tommy Streeter - 127.05

The guy Pitts keeps getting compared to, Mike Evans, ran a 4.53 and his HASS score is 116.06.

No matter how you look at it, that is impressive.

Every time I watched him play I always had to look twice because he just doesn’t move like a TE.

Like I keep saying, Pitts is special. Dude isn't just big. He isn't just athletic. He also has ridiculous hands. The only time college teams had much success guarding him was when they either doubled him or mugged him (which they couldn't do at the NFL level due to how illegal contact and defensive holding are called).

Exceptional pass catcher. Extremely athletic. Too fast for Linebackers. Too big for safeties. Mismatch nightmare!! Great catch radius. Good route runner. Massive red-zone target. Oh wait, that's what they said about Ebron pre-draft. I don't care how good at one half of your job you are, when you can't do the other half of your job. Pitts is a TE who cannot block. And if God forbid he drops balls in the NFL (ala Ebron) he's pretty useless. Why are the Lions the only team who drafts TEs in the top ten? How many times do we have to do this?

Eric Ebron is to Kyle Pitts what Roy Williams was to Calvin Johnson. Pitts catches the ball like an elite NFL WR. Ebron catches the ball like my deceased grandmother. Pitts isn't a TE. The dude is a WR.

This isn't even close to Pitts's most impressive play of 2020. Rather, it's a fairly routine play for him. But watch the way he absolutely works Israel Mukuamu in the red zone:

That's a 6'3" CB. That's the sort of guy who is supposed to be able to neutralize Pitts. He's a CB who has been talked about as a potential Day 2 pick. Pitts turns him inside out.

Time and again, we've all said it a) depends on how you want to play him (WR or TE) and b) how fast does he run?

If he ran a 4.57 or a 4.60 then yeah, your points are warranted. He's running in the mid-4.4's at his height and weight, which is unreal. That's a really good speed for a guy who is 6'2, 200 lbs let alone 6'6, 240 lbs.

It would be a waste of his talent to play him as a TE. Let him be that big, athletic WR that you can also occasionally play him in at TE when/if it is needed.

yeah definitely a WR after doing research. not a devonte smith  type player lolllllll. Could we trade down with broncos and still get pitts? Im for oline, passrush, LB. But open to a freak weapon for 10 years lol. but next year wr class is nice

I don't know if Pitts will even be there for us at #7. If he isn't, either Chase will be there or one of the QB's will slip down and give us a trade back scenario.
