I know that the quick fixes are always firing the manger or gm, and Cashman does deserve some blame for the starting rotation he's fielding, but at some point when the players just aren't playing well it's the players that need to be held to account somehow. Firing Boone will do absolutely zero to fix the issue.

I agree for the most part, but managers are usually the first to go and Boone wont be the first one to be fired for things out of his control. Season is still early so maybe they give it more time, but if the team continues to not respond to him and his managing I would expect him to get fired and he's also in his last year of his contract.
