Possibly, I don't dislike Sark but his decisions definitely set USC back for years. The program had finally just come off of major sanctions and was in a prime position to become a national powerhouse again. But Sark's issues with alcohol led to disappointing performances and his eventually firing. The AD was scared to make another splash hire after that and Clay Helton ran the program into the ground.

Don't know the details of Sark's alcohol issues but I'd guess that the pressure of coaching at USC and living in Los Angeles didn't help. Either way glad to see he's in a better place.
