Second, he went to the master to learn from Tom House about getting better at throwing mechanics and accuracy. https://www.nfl.com/news/pitching-guru-tom-house-also-tutors-top-nfl-quarterbacks-09000d5d82acaf67 It does not mean he's going to be Dan Marino this year but he's clearly putting in the work. If Hurts becomes a middle of the pack type of passer, he's going to be dangerous. Honestly, big props to Philadelphia for seeing his potential and (for now) focusing on building around him instead of jumping the gun on a QB in a highly suspect class. And if he fails they have Minshew now and a pair of 1st round picks next year.

SkippyX
They gave Tyrod a guaranteed 8.2 million and they are worried about a good CB making some money? Strange how paying a guy 13.3 a year with cap hits of 10 10 20 bites you in year 3.
SkippyX
The Eagles are releasing restricted free agent G Nate Herbig. (per 94 WIP) He had 17 starts as a guard in 3 years. He's just a guy so far. Maybe he's a 3rd guard for someone else or an injury replacement.
SkippyX
Jason Verrett back to SF. He's a talented player who has missed about 73 games in 7 seasons. He made the pro bowl in 2015 (one of his 2 seasons with 13 games played)

SkippyX
Mike Hilton drops the “we were not a fluke” card. He’s right. They were a pretty good 10-7 team. Thr fluke was the rest of the division having the 23rd, 24th, and 27th rated QBs last year. Good luck repeating that.
