He has a lot of work to do being he's still newer to the position, but the athleticism is there. Agreed. When was the last time 7 players were poached from us? SEVEN! It tells me that we are getting the talent in the door. This is what happens to good teams - they lose players that poor teams sign to play on their talent deficient squad. Meanwhile, we are looking for a backup OT and developmental players. They paid David too much to put someone over him. Moore was drafted fairly highly and performed well in his rookie season. They invested a very high pick in Wilson. They love Berrios as that shifty sneaky guy. There really is nothing that Mims can or could have done to move up the chart. He is going to be stuck hoping that Davis gets hurt. Maybe if David continues with the drops issues mims could get some snaps but even then Wilson would probably just get the snaps. All that said, mims has to be more careful with his words. This statement projects more as arrogant cockiness as opposed to confidence. He wants to be traded, but this won't make other teams think he is a good team player. I honestly think Mims will get some snaps. What he does with them is up to him. Do well, keep your mouth shut, and do what the coaches ask and his snap count may go up. Confidence vs cockiness is dependent on how you view him. He’s right and you’re right regarding why the others are playing ahead of him it’s just he’s personally affected by it so it comes off differently. If he played up to his draft stock the Jets never would have taken Wilson. Taken Wilson just showed he is a WR 4 on this team or any other team. He is just not that good.
