NVRamsFan
If he performs for a full season it’s a good deal. So far he hasn’t done that though so you have to wonder how good of a deal it ends up being. They had very few other options though.
The BILLievers
The mahomes and Allen deals get better every day lol. I get you gotta pay him but top #2 highest paid QB doesn’t seem right. Good for him

AFlaccoSeagulls
So they actually gave in and caved to him? Well, I guess good for Kyler Murray And most importantly, good for Lamar!
AkronsWitness
I dont get the concept of every QB due for an extension needs to become one of the newly highest paid players at their position.

LeotheLion
At least the Cardinals saved on some of the guarantees compared to the Watson deal.

Mizter_Clean10
Paying guys above they’re play level is never good idea. you can @ me all day long but he’s not a top 5 QB.

He wouldn't have made that much in Oakland but he would have made more on the FA market in baseball.
dll2000
Hard decision because is he elite? Sometimes he is. He hasn't been much of a closer of late. Easy decision to pay an elite QB. The mistakes of paying non-elite QBs haven't been too crippling of late. Rams did had to give up a lot to get rid of Goff, but that was more to acquire Stafford. They somehow got out form under Bradford's deal and got compensated for it. Philly actually got some value back from Wentz somehow and then inexplicably Indy did too. 49ers got some good play from Jimmy G so that wasn't bad moneywise. His contract didn't really dictate that they give up a bunch of picks for a rookie QB, they chose to do that on their own. Texans got compensated for Watson , after they paid him. Situation is different as Watson was still elite player, but had major off field issues. I think Titans seem to be having some buyers remorse on Tannehill, but he has won games for them to date or with them. Cleveland didn't want to pay Baker.
