If you were AJ Dillon would you rather get the ball standing still 5 yards behind the LOS for all the defense to see, or 3 yards behind the LOS with a head of steam partially shielded by the OL. Conversely, if you were a DE, which is easier to read and react to ??

This is what I think is overstated. I don't think everything is as slow as you do out of it. I don't think it takes far longer to get to the LOS, I still think you can build momentum after getting the ball and going towards the LOS, I don't think the ability for a DE to see the run coming is that much easier.

There's this idea you're back there just standing still as you get the ball with DL already on you and I don't really think it's the case, but when it happens it's like that was the entire reason the play didn't work, even though it probably happens with the same play by the DL out of single back stuff.

It feels like an idea born from traditional football strategy that never got adjusted to the fact that it's not this huge disadvantage that it felt like we were told growing up.

Remember when MLF came here and said the offense was based on the run actions looking the same as the play action passes and it all married together ?

59 shotgun snaps vs 9 snaps under center on Sunday

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm not good with that, and yes I definitely remember. We even used to do it and not just talk about it lol

Thought maybe this was in response to the Hanson injury, but as a OT only, I don't know what the heck this says

It says they had an open roster spot and they used it here because they wanted to take a closer look at his potential for the next 4 weeks.
