The team really focused on the passing game during OTAs to help Fields develop in that area, especially since there was no contact allowed, so there was nothing really going on with the RBs, just walk through concepts.

We'll know a lot more during TC, but i expect him to start as a core 4 STer and phase into the offense slowly behind herbert and foreman. but he's been getting high praise from the coaching staff.

just curious, why is he your guy? personal or just a UT fan?

Drafted him in BDL. It’s a dynasty league on the forum. Our draft is a week before the real draft.

Did a quick redraft of 2021 class for kicks and giggles.  Probably swap a few names around if I took more time on it.  Sucks for us (Bears)

Pace last draft was his best.

I'd definitely have Parsons going to SF. Jones never did much for me.

I think Shanahan would have done very well with him.   A better and more talented Brock Purdy.

That would have been an ideal pairing.

Are you saying this is how you would have drafted? We still did not have a qb at that time unless we were resigning MT. Or was you plan to "gulp"...get Trey Lance in the second?

No I was redrafting for each team - quickly.  I said that result would suck for us.

Real life was better than we could have hoped.   We get bumped out in a hindsight redraft for certain.

i mean, it sucks because jenkins isn't a good pick there. he has some promise, but he's now a guard that has played in less than half of all games since he's been drafted. i imagine your redraft is based on how the players are currently, not our opinion then. better picks would be (imo):

Greg Rousseau

Jaelen Phillips

Greg Newsome

Tyson Campbell

Trey Lance

Amon-Ra St. Brown

Nate Hobbs

Jevon Holland

Maybe JTS

What in the hell is this? He looks like a Martha from A Handmaids Tale.

In this photo we have a 6’4” NFL wide receiver standing next to a petite woman with pink hair and somehow the NFL wr manages to look more feminine.

He also kinda looks like the Big Bad Wolf dressing up as Grandma so that he can eat Little Red Riding Hood. It's ******* creeepy.

I’m just happy Claypool’s cringe has been largely contained. He from what I’ve seen isn’t terribly active on distracting socials anymore (people still hate him for the FD dance when the Steelers were out of clock. We weren’t gonna get away from this kind of content on occasion but he’s doing it seldom enough that I don’t care. But he’s also considerably more expendable than he’s been yet with each of Velus, Scott or others vying for a spot

I would take Amon-ra for sure.  He would go earlier.   I forgot about him when I did draft.

Trey Lance is a bust at this point I think.   There are guys in college who have played more snaps at QB.

I think Jenkins can still be a top 8 guard in this league.  He had his own highlight reel last year.  At guard.  Despite being moved, publicly bad mouthed and then platooned.   Then moved again this year.

Those other guys are not top 8 at their positions nor do they have potential for it.

He has had an unfortunate start to his career, but his talent and flashes are undeniable in my opinion.

So the talent and flashes haven't been there for the other players? Definitely not top-8 at his position (LG) which he has never played before. All these guys have highlight reels. I think you have your blinders on man. Jenkins was drafted to play LT, hurt his back and missed pretty much his entire rookie year (LOVE an olineman with a bad back). Then couldn't stick at RT, so he moved inside to guard, where he still couldn't play an entire season due to health. Then one of our biggest FA deals this offseason is a RG, so that moves Jenkins to his 4th position in 2 years. He's played in 19/34 possible games. 25 year old. Meanwhile:

Greg Rousseau - 30 GP, 12 sacks, 69 tackles, 2 FF, 1 int. 23 years old, positional importance/need (DE > G), 1 POW award

Jaelan Phillips - 34 GP, 15.5 sacks, 60 tackles, 1 FF, 24 years old, positional importance/need, 2021 all-rookie team

Greg Newsome - 27 GP, 15 PD, .5 sacks, 79 tackles, 23 years old, positional importance (CB > G), 2021 all-rookie team

Tyson Campbell - 32 GP, 25 PD, 5 ints, 143 tackles, 2 FR, 23 years old, positional importance/need,

Trey Lance - TBD but if JF is gone we still need a QB out of that draft and in 2021 he had/has the potential

Amon-Ra St. Brown - you said he would go earlier, so who drops?

Nate Hobbs - 27 GP, 1 int, 7 PD, 1 FR, 146 tackles, 24 years old, positional importance/need (NB > G)

Jevon Holland - 33 GP, 4 int, 17 PD, 1 FF, 3 FR, 165 tackles, 23 years old, maybe equal positional importance (FS = G?), 2021 all rookie team.

Maybe JTS - 34 GP, 8 sacks, 69 tackles, 5 PD, 24 years old, positional importance/need

So Jenkins is the oldest, played the least amount due to injuries, plays the least important/most replaceable position, and has been arguably the least successful out of these players.
