Preseason Game 2 - New England @ Green Bay

Leaving the Bolden injury out of it, my primary takeaway from last night's game is that I'm feeling much better about the Packers QB1 and QB2 situation than I did two weeks ago.  There will be some ups and downs to be sure, but this group of offensive skill players could be very, very good a couple years from now.

Can't they PS him and activate him for games?  I swear they have cut him like five times and he always winds up back in GB.

They can only do that for 3 games. After that, he has to be added to 53 or released.

Did anyone here get a good look at the Doubs catch down the sidelines that was ruled out of bounds?

He very well could have been out, but the angle they showed wasn't the greatest.

1 foot in, other foot dragged the turf  ( I think it was the left)

I am not sure that I learned anything new from last night's game.

-OL is a strength of this team.  Even the oft-criticized Hanson, Rhyan, Newman combo did pretty well.  Telfort looked strong and big, give him a season on the PS and he probably looks even better.  Walker was good.  Nijman was good.

-I think the rookies kind of solidified what I thought about them last week.  Wooden and Brooks are pretty good.  Musgrave and Reed are good to go.  Valentine is a steal.  LVN and Kraft are not quite there yet.  Cox and Heath need to make the team.

-Once again, the safety play has been pretty non-descript.  Once in a while one will screw up, but nothing has been egregious, yet.  But none of them are really making a difference positively.  Darnell Savage has been playing.  Did you even notice? Rudy Ford had a TFL last night.  Possibly the best play made from the safety group over the two games we have seen.

It was definitely a catch.
