I'm bracing myself, as funny as that sounds, for an OT at 7. Not to say that's a bad thing. To me, it would be slightly disappointing, just because I really want to get an 3rd round pick. I just feel if we had that extra pick in the top 3 rounds, we could really land 3 potential impact players.

But if we walk away with Alt and a good WR in the 2nd, to go along with a WR in FA and OL in FA, then I'd consider that a win.

We could still trade back from our 2nd and recuperate some picks. If we get something close in return to what we traded for Levis, that’ll be a win.

Good point.
I'm hopeful Ran and company work some trade magic to maximize the talent available early in this draft. We need to try to get as many young impact players as possible.

Depending on who's there, maybe.  If we're up and there's two or three receivers we'd be happy with at 38, trading back a few spots would be ideal.

It's hard to say what the league thinks though. Thomas, Mitchell, Coleman, and Franklin seem to be the names floating to the top.  If that's the case, it's hard to imagine more than one still being there at 38.

But after that, you've got Worthy, Legette, Burton, McConkey, and Walker all over the place.  If they're all there, then it makes all the sense in the world to trade back.  One good thing about having jack **** at receiver is that you aren't looking for a specific fit.  Almost any receiver will have a place in the offense.

I'd throw JaTavion Sanders in the mix too.  Tight end, I know, but a receiving tight end, and a better prospect than most of the third tier WRs anyway.  I would prefer a receiver, but I think the most important thing is that the second pick is a weapon for the passing game of some kind.  And if you add another third day pick by moving down, you can always grab like a Jalen McMillan or a Roman Wilson in the fourth, and still have a vastly improved group for Levis to throw to.

i’m curious what the game splits look like. dude should’ve thrown like five picks against the bucs and somehow walked away with just one lol but my impression was in the following weeks he did a somewhat better job of limiting TWPs.

honestly yall....i'm starting to think we should bring derrick henry back lol.

hear me out: i think there's a pretty solid likelihood that the offense brian callahan ends up implementing here is a relatively 'traditional' shanahan, wide zone, play-action-heavy west coast offense. that's zac taylor's background of course with sean mcvay, and it's what they tried to implement in cincy before it became the joe burrow show. it's the offense that bill callahan has deep roots with, and what he's most adept at coaching OL to do. it's the offense that will levis came up in at kentucky (and why i was sort of surprised that we drafted him after tim kelly started shifting more towards an erhardt-perkins system). and guess who else is at his absolute best running wide zone all day? you already know...the king.

i was skeptical of the value of bringing henry back had we continued with vrabel and kelly because i wasn't sure of our ability to rebuild the offensive line quickly enough that it wouldn't just be a waste to keep him around. bill callahan coaching the OL flips that on its head because on top of being one of the best in the business, he is an outside zone specialist. i know some of this is just sentimental, and ultimately henry might just get a better deal elsewhere and that'll be that, but man...there are just a lot of fits here that seem like they make sense.

Uh it’s a no for me, Henry is a 2 down back who’s at his best as a workhorse I want a RB by committee somewhat like the falcons had their SB run, with Devonta freeman & Tevin Coleman. Give me RB’s that can create mismatches in space & force a defense to defend the entire field. I love Henry I will miss but I’m over him & want something new.

I think bringing him back has a lot of value, but also a few handicaps.
Namely-money. Secondly, scheme.
I think he can catch better than a lot of people give him credit for, however he just seems limited in what he can bring to an offense outside of running the ball.

Ultimately, can we get his production from another source? (Spears and....)
Henry as a player/person is irreplaceable.  Maybe Vrabel and Kelly didn't allow him to really be an apart of an open offense, or Heny truly can't.

I wouldn't flinch or be mad if he came back, but I'm not advocating or calling for him to return either.

I don’t think it’s hands people doubt it’s the fact he’s not a threat catching out the backfield, meaning he can’t run routes he’s either gone catch a screen or a check down. You not gone motion him out trying to create a mismatch with him on a LB & say to him get open, or run a wheel route.
