The XFL will need its own section if it comes back.

I mean, people realize that, more than likely, if Vince even brings the XFL back it will be via an online/streaming medium.  He's not getting a major network deal, nor should he after how badly the XFL bombed last time.  Despite ratings being in a slump, no broadcasting company who does business with the NFL wants to get on the bad side of the NFL this close to a new media deal (2019 or 2020 IIRC), so Vince's pitches to them will fall on deaf ears, particularly if he tries to go directly at the NFL.

Moreover, the NFL has expanded it's media claw hold since last there was an XFL.  NFL Football is on 3 days a week (4 this time of year), and very few football fans are going to abandon College Football to watch players who are sub-NFL quality.  A successful business model where sub-standard football is shown via Facebook Live on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Fridays doesn't exist.

To me the idea would be to do it in the off season.

Talent pool will be fairly low though.  For one, NFL will sign more guys to futures contracts (and they already do a decent amount of that to begin with) because their 32 owners can afford a helluvalot more than Vince can; and that will cut the talent pool significantly.  Offseason would also be going up against baseball which, to some, doesn't sound huge, but it is... because baseball is on literally every day and their games last longer than football games on the regular.

Vince McMahon would never sign Colin because his wife is in the Trump administration and Vince will probably make standing for the anthem mandatory.

You’re probably right. But it is ironic that he said he would stand for the anthem and he’s the only one who can’t get a job over it

Whatever network airs his wrestling shows will air the XFL
