Jlowe22
Individuals Your MVP Other people may disagree me with me, but I'm still gonna go Drew Brees here. He's having a down year in bulk stats by his own standards, but it's not at all a down year by NFL standards, he's still near or at the top in most passing categories and teams have to respect that. And a QB is almost always the single most valuable player on the team. However, the running unit as a whole I would consider more valuable, but that is split between Ingram/Kamara. Your best 3 players this season Cam Jordan Alvin Kamara Mark Ingram Newcomer of the season Kamara OPOY It's a toss up DPOY Cam Jordan Coach of the year Dennis Allen Team Grade Weeks 1-4 C Grade Weeks 5-9 A Grade Weeks 10-13 B Grade Weeks 14-17 B Overall Season Grade B Best Unit Oline and backs. showtime
Individuals Your MVP Russell Wilson Your best 3 players this season Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner Newcomer of the season Shaquill Griffin OPOY Russell Wilson DPOY Bobby Wagner Coach of the year Pete Carroll, I guess. Team Grade Weeks 1-4 D Grade Weeks 5-9 B Grade Weeks 10-13 C Grade Weeks 14-17 F Overall Season Grade C- Best Unit Defense Best 3 Performances Week 5 vs Rams - Ugly game and Seattle probably should have lost, but the Rams are a high quality team. Week 13 vs Eagles Worst 3 Performances More than 3. I thought the game vs the Titans during week 3 kind of set the tone that the defense has taken more than just one step backward. Most Enjoyable Win Probably week 5 vs the Rams Worst Loss I think the Redskins loss week 9 stings a lot. As far as score, the 42-7 beating the Rams gave the Seahawks was the worst. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Poor coaching Lack of running game and offensive line Injuries How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? John232
Individuals Your MVP Jimmy G. (If we're going full season, DeFo Your best 3 players this season Jimmy G, Buckner, Staley (Foster is very close, but lots of injuries) Newcomer of the season ...Jimmy G... OPOY Jimmy G DPOY Deforrest Buckner Coach of the year Shanny Team Grade Weeks 1-4 C: Lots of close losses against some solid teams Grade Weeks 5-9 D: Continued the trend of close losses, then just started getting slammed, injuries started mounting too Grade Weeks 10-13 B+: Beathard finally got something going against a bad Giants team, then Jimmy took over Grade Weeks 14-17 A+: Beating the Jags and the Titans with Jimmy G dominating...amazing. Overall Season Grade A: No one expected more than 3 or 4 wins after the first couple weeks, we got our QB of the future, we'll have around a top ten pick, every rookie has looked promising at the very least and we have over 100 million dollars in cap space Best Unit Since Jimmy G came in, the offense. Before him, the defense. Best 3 Performances Jaguars Titans Bears Worst 3 Performances Cowboys Eagles Cardinals Most Enjoyable Win Jaguars, not even close. Worst Loss TNF against the Rams...stupid mistakes let us into the game, but also allowed the Rams to pull out. Horribly officiated game too. Sugashane
7 hours ago, Hunter2_1 said: A Report Card for 2017's Regular Season Feel free to keep this on ice until after the final game, but I did this in our forum and wanted to see other teams'. Individuals Your MVP Jordan Howard - he has been facing 8 men in the box, missing OL, and has no WR worth noting to help take pressure off him. Even when not facing those fronts he is being sold out on, and still getting a top 5 rushing total. Your best 3 players this season Hicks, Howard, and Fuller Hicks not getting a Pro Bowl nod is a joke. He has been a wrecking ball all season Howard was noted above. PFF is a joke, Fuller shut down Gordon and AJ Green, and while having a lot of passes thrown his way he has played exceptional in coverage, while also being hell vs the run game. He will get franchised this offseason. Newcomer of the season Mitchell Trubisky - Played very well considering the predictable playcalling and being forced into so many 3rd and longs. Even Brady would struggle to play well with the WR cast, playcalling, and situational disadvantages. (of course he would still do well, but in no way would Brady be in the MVP conversation). OPOY Trubisky - I prefer to keep team MVP and POYs seperate. Trubisky had a rough start and has really done well, and the players really rally around him. DPOY Hicks - Dude is simply a monster. Coach of the year Donnatell (DB coach) - Jackson has had a record setting rookie year and played well consistently. Fuller has progressed and played great. Amukamara has played well. Amos has had a major bounceback year and is thriving in the SS spot. Team Grade Weeks 1-4 D-. Defense was pretty good but the offense was the worst I have seen in the last 7-8 years. Glennon needs put back in the zoo. Grade Weeks 5-9 C+ The offense was completely neutered by playcalling, but still pulled off two wins. Grade Weeks 10-13 D+. Fox showed he gave up already. Grade Weeks 14-17 B+. Trubisky was given more opportunities, finally scoring 30+ points for the first time in week 14. Overall Season Grade C-. If Fox is fired then I bump that to an A-. Best Unit Defensive backfield Best 3 Performances CIN- Offense was great, defense matched it CLE - Coasted to what seemed to be an easy win, Trubisky made throw after throw while getting hit without flinching. MIN week 5 - Trubiskys debut against a hell of a team. Showed no fear vs a great pass rush, we lost but I saw more from him that game than I have seen from a Bears QB in years. Knew he was the future there. Worst 3 Performances PHI - Simply just a much better team, we had too many drops on 3rd down. TB - The team was simply outcoached, offense and defense, and the players barely looked like they cared. Shocking in the 2nd game of the year, after hanging with ATL. GB week 4 - The team was done with Glennon, he lost them. It was a blowout and shouldn't have been. Most Enjoyable Win BAL - Trubisky clawed through and made much more of an impact than his statline showed. Won it in OT. or CLE - Trubisky carried the offense and looked stellar. Worst Loss PHI - Just a beatdown all around. Wentz looked fantastic. Put DeFilippo as the top HC candidate for me by a mile. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Trubisky's progression, the defense improving at multiple spots, and Fox being a worse HC than Marc Trestman. How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? (1-5) 4 if we get a real HC What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? Fire Fox and Loggains, get help at WR and passrusher Hire DeFilippo as HC, sign Adams, draft a WR and passrusher in the top two rounds (Ridley/Armstrong or Ferrill/Kirk for example), look at Antonio Callaway in the 5th or E. St. Brown in the 4th to develop Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 Gurley IS the LA Rams offense. But I think Brady wins, followed by Wilson. Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? PHI and LA Rams - The progression of Wentz and Goff was astounding. They both added the offensive talent to match with their defenses. The player you would take for your own team (just one) Kuechly, Ramsey, or Lattimore. Answered above, cool idea
vikingsrule
Individuals Your MVP Xavier Rhodes Your best 3 players this season Adam Thielen, Harrison Smith, Xavier Rhodes Newcomer of the season Riley Reiff or Case Keenum OPOY Adam Thielen DPOY Xavier Rhodes Coach of the year Mike Zimmer Team Grade Weeks 1-4 B Delt with adversity losing Bradford and Cook and lost to the Steelers and Lions. Grade Weeks 5-9 A Grade Weeks 10-13 A Grade Weeks 14-17 A - Finished a tough stretch of road games with loss to Carolina. Overall Season Grade A Top 3 team in football despite losing starting QB early on. Best Unit The defense is as elite as it is because of the DL. Griffen, Hunter and Joseph have been phenomenal. Best 3 Performances Bradford vs Saints Defense vs Rams Defense vs Falcons Worst 3 Performances Bradford vs Bears Keenum vs Lions Run defense vs Carolina Most Enjoyable Win Packers at home, Barr hitting Rodgers Rams at home, knew the Vikes were elite after this game Worst Loss Losing to Detroit at home 14-7. Defense dropped 4 Ints and the offense sputtered after losing Cook. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Scrappiness. Keenum and Thielen define this perfectly. Dominance. The defense is insane this year. Best defense in football in yards, points and 3rd down %. Top 5 against the run and pass. This year's defense may be at the level of the Broncos that won the super bowl several years back. Resiliece. After losing Bradford and Cook, it would have been easy to see the season as lost. Unlike teams who typically lose a starting QB (Green Bay) the Vikes have a supremely talented and deep roster that Keenum was able to rally around. How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? (1-5) If Keenum can play under control, the Vikes can win the super bowl and are probably the favorites coming out of the NFC. Next season is a huge question mark at QB, Keenum, Teddy and Bradford are all free agents. However, the Vikes roster is extremely young and talented. Mn should have about $40M in cap space, however, Barr, Kendricks, Hunter and Diggs will all be FAs in 2019. Time to start locking these guys up. What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? Obviously QB. Keenum should be the priority and MN may have to draft someone too. Start extending key players like Barr, Kendricks, Hunter and Diggs. Continue to build up the trenches. MNs DL has been dominant but there is still a need for a penetrating UT. OL play has been great but the OGs could be stronger. The Vikes are so good because they protect Keenum, shut down the run and get after the QB. Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 Brady Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? The Saints and Rams. The player you would take for your own team (just one) For one season, hard not to want Brady. Long term, give me Wentz.
Zappaz
Individuals Your MVP Keenan Allen - Having him healthy for the whole year has been awesome. He has finally showed people just how good he can be being the first player with 3 straight games off <10 rec, 100+ yds, and 1+ TDs. Rivers trusts him and Allen makes the plays most of the time. Your best 3 players this season Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Casey Hayward Newcomer of the season Russell Okung - Really helped solidify the offensive line this year, one that is starting a bunch of young guys. He has had some injury of late but overall he has had a very good year for us. Have to say Desmond King was a close second, the rookie 5th rounder has been outplaying his draft slot by far and looks to be another solid youngster for our defense. OPOY Keenan Allen - He has been having a very solid year DPOY Casey Hayward - Was hard not putting Bosa here but he hasn't been quite as amazing of late. Casey has played awesome all season and turned into a shutdown corner for the team taking away some of the burden left with Verrett whom is often injured. Coach of the year Gus Bradley - He has helped turn this defense into a good unit overall. I had some concerns to begin the year but Gus has helped bring the best defense this team has had in well over 10 years. Team Grade Weeks 1-4 F - Went 0-4, let Denver sneak bye with a missed FG that could have sent the game to OT, let Miami win with a missed FG (see a trend?), laid a dud against KC, then lost by 2 against Philly Grade Weeks 5-9 C - 3-1 finally learning how to play, first win @NYG then again @Oakland though both closer than they should have been... then shutout Denver for our first win in LA since 1960. Tough game @NE to before the bye week. Grade Weeks 10-13 A - 3-1 which should have been 4-0. Gave away a crazy game @Jags with one of the most bizarre final 2 minutes I can remember. Then demolished Buffalo, dominated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, and then made up for last year beating the Browns. Grade Weeks 14-17 C - 2-1 with a big game left. Solid win against the Redskins then another terrible lost versus KC with the division title on the line. Beat the Jets but let them hang around too long with their backup QB. Overall Season Grade All things considered I would say a B for the season. Coming off of 2 horrible years, the team moving from SD to LA, a new head coach, playing in a soccer stadium.. etc, etc, etc... I didn't expect much out of this year even though I knew we had some good pieces to work with. I really can't complain too much because if we had a decent kicker then division title is probably ours. We've only really had 2 games (both KC games) which I felt we were outclassed. I fully expected this year to be another down year as things started to gel especially with the rough start going 0-4... to be sitting here going into week 17 with a chance at the playoffs still, I can't be mad. Best Unit Defense by far, they have kept the team in basically every game this year. Best 3 Performances vs Buffalo, @ Dallas on Thanksgiving, and shutting out Denver Worst 3 Performances Both KC games which we never had control and the Jets game when they let a bottom third team stick around even with their backup QB Most Enjoyable Win This is tough, probably @Dallas on Thanksgiving because of the domination on a big stage. I really liked seeing Denver shut out for the first time since the 90s and putting up 54 on Buffalo but still think the Dallas game was a tick more enjoyable. Worst Loss Dec 16th @KC... game that could have put the team in good position to win the division, most important game they've played in many years... they laid a dud with the lights the brightest. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Kicking... currently on kicker #5 who also missed his first FG with the team. The Bosa/Ingram combo which has helped spur the resurgence of a strong defense. Overcoming early mistakes, growing as a team and learning to be a better team which makes next season promising. How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? (1-5) 4.5 - I am very confident going into next season because we have the players and we have what seems to be a coach that pushes the players finally, something I've missed since Marty Schottenheimer. I'm looking forward to see how this team can progress and see if Rivers can finally get a shot at a ring. What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? KICKER!!! That would have helped us with a couple more wins this year. Also they need to shore up the run defense with a solid DT/NT to clog lanes and MLB to pair with Perryman. A new starting RT would be nice as well as someone to groom at QB depending on who is available. Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 Todd Gurley Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? Rams, they usually have a pretty good D but this year they have had the offense to go with it... Goff's improvement from year one to year two has been amazing. The player you would take for your own team (just one) Luke Kuechly - Keep building on a strong defense

Individuals Your MVP Leonard Fournette Your best 3 players this season: Calias Campbell, Telvin Smith, and the BEST CB DOU in the NFL in Jalen "your Daddy" Ramsey and Aj Bouye Newcomer of the season: Calias Campbell and Aj Bouye(both transformed this defense the same so they are co-winners) OPOY Leonard Fournette DPOY Calias Campbell Coach of the year Doug Marrone Team Grade Weeks 1-4 B. We blew out a Rival(texans at texans), and a potential playoff team(Ravens) in odd weeks but we got Gashed by the titans at home and choked away at the jets. Grade Weeks 5-9 A. We Embaressed Big Ben and the steelers while Shutting out the colts and beating the bengals. we lost to the rams because our Special teams essentially handed them 17 of their 27 points. Grade Weeks 10-13 B. we beat the chargers, who normally beat us in OT(we hadnt really played a close game all year outside the jets game) as well as grinding out a win vs the browns and beating the colts. our coaches Playcalls lost us the cards game at the end. Grade Weeks 14-17 B. we beat the seahawks in a tight game then embaressed the texans again and lost to 49ers on a west coast trip that we always struggle with. Overall Season Grade B+ Best Unit DL. we have 5 guys that have 7.5 sacks or more Best 3 Performances Jags Vs Steelers(10/8) 30-9 with Big Ben setting a Personal record of 5 ints(2 were pick 6s) Jags vs Texans(12/17) a 45-7 win vs the texans with 3 very young wrs stepping up and playing well. Jags vs colts(10/22) a 27-0 shut out. i think a shut out is pretty tough to do. Worst 3 Performances Jags Vs Titans(9/17). 37-16 it was tied at half time and our offense never was in rythem leading to the defense being gassed. Jags vs Jets(10/1) 23-20(OT). we lost the game because Marquise lee dropped an easy pass, then had a ST problem and let them win with a fg. Jags Vs Rams(10/15) 27-17. the rams had a Blocked punt return TD, a KR TD, and a greating starting spot by a bad punt. Most Enjoyable Win Jags vs Steelers(10/8) Worst Loss Jags vs Titans(9/17) What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Top Defense in the League. Leagues highest rushing attack Blake Bortles good and bad How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? a Pass catching TE, Possible QB Upgrade, some Oline upgrades. i want the team to lock up Allen Robinson long term Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 Brady Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? ET80
Individuals Your MVP - DeAndre Hopkins. With a porous offense, Hopkins shined bright. Despite half a season with outright horrible QB play, he went out and made insane play after insane play. A top 3 WR this season, no doubt. Your best 3 players this season - Hopkins, Jadevion Clowney, Bernardrick McKinney Newcomer of the season - Deshaun Watson. He only played six games, but it was a glorious six games. He's going to be the face of the league soon. OPOY - Hopkins DPOY - Clowney Coach of the year - None. Fire them all. Team Grade Weeks 1-4 B+ (The Titans game curves this grade significantly) Grade Weeks 5-9 C- (Wheels officially came off after week 8) Grade Weeks 10-13 F Grade Weeks 14-17 F Overall Season Grade D- (Lot of work to be done, but there's a lot to look forward to with DW4) Best Unit - WR Unit (Hopkins established himself as top 5, Fuller looked unstoppable with Watson, Bruce Ellington looked good in spot duty, and even Braxton Miller made a few plays) Best 3 Performances: Wk4 v Titans (59-14) Wk6 v Browns (33-17) Wk12 v Cardinals (31-21) Worst 3 Performances: ...just 3? Hmm. Most Enjoyable Win: Wk4 v Titans. All of the off-season hype really made this game an earmarked meeting; Going out and running rampant on the preseason Super Bowl favorite (in Houston, within walking distance of the Astrodome) was the sole highlight of the season. Worst Loss: Wk8 @ Seattle. Bad loss because it was RIGHT THERE for the win, and it was a game where Watson tweaked his knee. The ligament would tear four days later in practice, effectively ending our season. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season - Injuries (x3) How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? (1-5) 3.5 Watson, Watt, Mercilius, Fuller should be at full strength and team has a lot of cap space to address secondary and OL. If Watson returns to 70% of his previous form and defense improves, Texans will be back in competition. New coaching staff and GM will help, too. What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? GM/HC/OC/DC/OL/DB Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 - Todd Gurley. The centerpiece of the most dynamic offense in the league, a three down threat who can run past you or through you. Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? - Jags. Thought Week 1 was a fluke, but they are real. They're now top of the mountain in the AFCS. The player you would take for your own team (just one) - Jalen Ramsey. Talented, physical tone setter at CB. Would give the entire secondary a lift.

bucsfan333
Individuals Your MVP Lavonte David. Dude's been a badass this year. HM to Gerald McCoy. Your best 3 players this season Lavonte David, Gerald McCoy, Demar Dotson Newcomer of the season Justin Evans. He started out slowly. He didn't even play defense the first few weeks. Then he got thrust into a starting role and picked off Brady in his first game. And dropped a second pick later. He's made some really amazing plays. And he's given up some big plays. But he shows promise. OPOY Demar Dotson? He's the only guy that consistently performed every week. Sucks he got hurt. DPOY Lavonte David. He doesn't have the sexy sacks and INTs. But he's made plays all over the field. He's singlehandedly kept us in games with so many clutch forced fumbles that he has a knack for also recovering. Coach of the year lol Team Grade Weeks 1-4 B | We missed week one and started out 2-1. Minnesota made us look stupid but we bounced back and pulled one out against the Giants. Grade Weeks 5-9 F | Jameis got hurt and the offense went to ****. Luckily the defense was always ****. We went a solid 0-5. We had Jameis eating Ws and poking guys in the head. Evans got suspended. Grade Weeks 10-13 C | We went 2-2, with wins against the Dolphins and Jets. We lost a close one to GB. The Falcons ran all over (and through) us. Grade Weeks 14-17 D | We've lost three straight games by three points. We had a chance to win all three. Jameis is the only QB in history to have back-to-back games with a 130+ passer rating and lose both games. Jameis' play is the only reason this isn't an F as well. Overall Season Grade D | We underperformed in the worst way. Everyone's favorite playoff darkhorse completely crapped the bed. We're looking at a complete coaching purge. Best Unit LBs. Lavonte and Kwon are pro bowl alternates. Beckwith was a steal. We actually changed our nickel defense to a 3/3/5 just to keep Beckwith on the field. Best 3 Performances We beat the Bears convincingly. That was our only good win. Worst 3 Performances Pretty much everything Most Enjoyable Win All four of them were nice. Worst Loss The Saints. You could tell some guys on defense had given up. We didn't even try to wrap up Kamara as he destroyed us. We just bumped him around. Guys were seen jogging on defense. The aforementioned Jameis poke and pregame speech. It was the only time I've ever been embarrassed to be a Bucs fan. What Three Things Have Defined Your Season Jameis' injury, and his play after it. The Saints game. Our abysmal defense. How Confident Are You Heading Into The Post Season/Next Season? (1-5) 1.5 | That will change once we "win" the off-season again after bringing in a new coaching staff. I'm a sucker. What Would You Like Your Team to Address in The Off-Season? Pass rush; hopefully in FA and the draft. An interior offensive lineman. RB. DT. The secondary. Rest of The League Who is your NFL MVP for 2017 I had Brady early but Gurley is literally running away with it now. He's a TD away from the elite 2,000 yard 20 TD club. Which team (other than your own) impressed you the most? The Jags. Especially their defense. The player you would take for your own team (just one) Aaron Donald. Our DEs wouldn't matter.
