I'm afraid that if they were not 100% sold on him as their #1 target, this just probably tilted the possibility of Cousins in the other direction. Another Note---- Alex Smith was just on Dan Patrick Show and they asked him about playing for the Browns. He laughed and said 1-31 sort of jokingly and he would prefer to be traded to a contender. Soooo in the last 30 mins the top 2 FA QBs just got a whole lot more dark for the Browns. He's been in the playoffs A LOT, been an injury away from starting in a Super Bowl, and he's not a spring chicken in his early to mid 30s. His window is starting to close. Give me the guy that just passed for 4,000 yards and almost 30 TD while not turning it over much at all, who has playoff experience and has had to digest (successfully most of the time) almost 10 different playbooks/offensive systems. Hes a slot receiver, but SUPER reliable hands, and nice YAC. Maybe a little overrated? sure! but he would do wonders to give our QB an underneath safety blanket.
