I mean Yiadom started 10 games for the the Giants last season. Not sure how good he was, but it's very possible Yiadom is or becomes the No. 4 guy for GB. He's not a nobody.

Either way I like the move and I've been harping on these types of moves for years in Green Bay. Gute is taking a shot at improving the roster, not sitting on his hands. That's all you can ask.

It would be great if the kid could play, but the Giants are giving him up for Josh Jackson. They clearly had no plans for him this year.

I'm not unhappy with the move because if he can be an upgrade to Ento, we just got better.

Cant say he's gonna be a demon in coverage - but like his ST stats posted by Vegas. Thats an interesting variable when it comes to guys who ran up decent ST snaps last year.....but could be close to (or on) the bubble now. I'm thinking about Redmond.......

LOL One of the new guy's 5 PBU's was against the infamous Scotty Miller.

Zach Kruse - Actually, Yiadom CAN cover Scotty Miller!  Packers needed a Scotty Stopper.

******* Shmitty Taylor. I made fun of that guy so hard as a random joke that he made us lose the Nfcc

Yup. Can Yiadom flex to Safety though.

Neither of these guys were very good in their current scheme, who knows maybe a change of scenery kick starts it for one of them. We knew Jackson couldn't be a backup at outside CB though. At least Yiadom can press.

This...

Honestly, I love this move not so much because Josh Jackson wasn't making the team, but because of Yiadom's press coverage skills. Ento, Samuels, and SJC will probably find their way to the PS and Hollman may be a tough cut.

No. Not IMO. He doesnt look to have the body for it.
I'm just spitballing here - but if one of the younger Safeties is pushing for a roster spot / playing time - well, Redmond's not an absolute bum - and he does eat up a bunch of ST snaps - so having a ST specialist come in....could allow the team to move on from Redmond (or another DB.....) who could be on the bubble. It's all pure conjecture on my part.

Now for what is really important, who is going to be the new Packer fans whipping boy? Who the new guy to take the blame for every time a bird ***** on a car windshield?

Based on the Texans thread Lucas Patrick might be in line for that role. I could also see Tyler Lancaster getting a few votes. No doubt though, if Redmond makes the team he has my vote.

I wouldn't exactly say Josh Jackson was our whipping boy. He was a disappointment, but it's not like he was Jarrett Bush or LaDarius Gunter in coverage.

It's Lancaster without a doubt at this point simply because he's a JAG; though I could definitely see Patrick get shuttled into that role rather quickly.
