If Goff is worth 53 a year, then the OC should get 100 million for making him look competent! I can't wait for Ben Johnson to get a HC gig and Goff falls apart. I think he may fall apart this year anyway.

Jets | Report: Jets Counting On Aaron Rodgers To Cover For Hackett's Shortcomings    Mon May 13, 04:59 PM

According to SNY. tv's Connor Hughes, the Jets made legitimate attempts this offseason to hire someone who would, essentially, replace offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Not as a new offensive coordinator, but a title above who would run the show. "The Jets had enough things they needed to address this offseason without replacing areas they're content with," Hughes wrote. "That pursuit tells me, internally, there are legitimate concerns with Hackett's ability to successfully run things."

Hughes suggested it almost feels like the Jets, coming up short in their effort to bypass the play-caller, will now count on Aaron Rodgers' ability to correct Hackett's wrongdoings. Hughes added that sources spoke of many times last summer when Hackett called a play, but then Rodgers changed it completely at the line. They figure he can do the same come the regular season.

Not a single coach in the league who would keep Rodgers from changing a play at the line entirely.  That's the pro of having Rodgers under center. Call a play hoping for a look, not get that look and get to the correct look.

Nobody bats 1000 with play calls, Rodgers is going to improve anyone's average.

No way Love takes less than 50. Gute needs to get something done asap.

Let him play the year out on his current contract and when the year is done tell him his mother was a hamster and his father smelt of elderberries.

Solid deal for the Bills. There’s going to be a lot of attempts at reclamation projects at WR with even decent guys getting ridiculous 2nd contracts. The teams that get it right and draft guys who can contribute right away will have a huge advantage.
