I get this school of thought, but I personally believe that McCarron wouldn't sign here knowing that we would FOR SURE be drafting his replacement at #1 overall. In Buffalo they may still draft a guy, but both teams were out of options. It makes sense for him to go to Buffalo. I feel like we knew that Tyrod was here on his 1 year deal, he wouldn't turn it over, he's a stopgap option, and he's a guaranteed veteran that we were going to get no matter what instead of rolling the dice in free agency. Hee-haw forced the nerds towards getting Hueball the guy he wanted and was familiar with (McCarron) with minutes to go at the deadline. Taylor is going to make a bigger impact for this team than McCarron. I can see Taylor being a better leader on the field and in the locker room.
