StevenK
I know there were rumors in the past about Bran being (or becoming), Bran the Builder does this confirm it? Or this doesn’t really say much into it?

They have no ruling power and they have no claim to the kingdom. What are the going to do, start a war because a man is being sentenced to life instead of executed? This included someone who would not be obsessed with wielding that power. Bran understood that, flat out told Tyrion he didn’t want it, but accepted it knowing that his not wanting power would allow him to step back and let those equipped to handle specific tasks do so. That’s why he showed up to the meeting, said hello and then let them all work on the projects themselves. I know what Tyrion was saying, but Tyrion couldn't convince him before to rule Winterfell and Bran is someone who already knows Tyrion very well. Nothing about Tyrion' message would still convince all-knowing Bran but now he just up and accepts because Tyrion went the Dumbledore route of saying the best person to lead is the one not seeking power? Something like this when he has probably seen the lives of a 1000 kings would know this and not be swayed. This would have been more believable had they just nominated Gendry or wait until Dany's forces left and then brought back Jon and tied him to a throne of some kind. Tyrion was convincing everyone else. “All Knowing” Bran knew the kingdoms needed the calming presence he brings that Tyrion was talking about, and knew that Winterfell needed to be ruled by a Stark. He couldn’t be convinced to rule Winterfell because he knew that isn’t where his presence was needed.
