Josh Gordon Stepping Away from Football

The Gnat

Recommended Posts

If he would rather smoke than play football that is fine, but he keeps putting himself in situations where he wants it both ways, and enivetibly lets the team, his coach and the fans down. Be a man and go full Ricky Williams. Its like cheating while trying to keep your relationship with a wife alive. Dont be a coward, walk away and do what you seem to really want to do or commit it all.

He isnt a loser for smoking. He is a loser for wanting it both ways, knowing it wont work and continuing to do it and let everyone down.

Another good trade from Dorsey.

Who's laughing now?

Yep, it was good for Dorsey. I'd say it's about a draw. The Patriots still got 700+ receiving yards out of him and he was key to a couple wins. Definitely not the pillaging some were making it out to be, though.

He clearly does have significant mental health issues since his drug problem A) goes beyond weed and B) much like Ricky Williams, he's using the weed to cope and medicate himself so he can handle the angst of life.

Been there, it's a dark place. His football career is over but I hope so very badly that he finds some level of inner peace and gets legitimate help before he ends up dead.

Many of ya'll need to read further in to Josh's story. He has a lot bigger problems than weed.

People don't care. They just wanna laugh at the kid that's been fed drugs by everybody around him in a position of power since he was 16 years old and dealing with major personal issues and mental illness.

It's clear at this point he can't handle life without the drugs. I get it's easy to laugh at the addict because he can't handle it, but the kid clearly can't deal with life.

So, Bryant and Gordon were both strongly rumored to have had slip-ups this off-season. Bryant ended up cut and Gordon ended up taking a sabbatical from his team. Both guys were then allowed to play most of the season only to get suspended indefinitely again within weeks of one another.

The NFL did something behind closed doors with both of them.

He's far more of an alcoholic than he is into weed. The weed is just a convenient way for the league to paint the narrative against him to bulwark against the PR of banning a guy because he has a significant drinking problem and uses the weed to cope with it.

AFAIK he also has a pretty bad pill habit.
