Consistency in winning....Patriots....never a big run game.Β

You mean the team that was 7th in rushing with 1872 yds last time they won the SB vs Atlanta? 7th in rushing in 2004 with 2100+ when they beat the Eagles?

The GOAT might of carried them to the other 3 SB but still had top 15 rushing Offenses.

we have the best qb to ever exist so who needs to run the ball?

You mean the Pats team that beat the Falcons that average 3.9 a carry good for 24th in the league and the 2004 Pats that average 4.1 good for 17th?

Just because you run a lot doesn’t meant you’re good at it. Probably just means you’ve built a big enough lead with the pass to run the time out. You watched it the whole season last year. The eagles got early leads with Carson, ran the wide nine and pounded it with Blount to close it out.Β

I know what you’re sayin Nabbs. Running the ball is important. I say it every week in the GDTs. You should have a balanced attack but your passing game is what wins ball games. And you can easily have an effective running attack with decent running backs. They don’t have to be blue chip prospects. Just consistent.Β

There’s no exact formula to winning and it’s extremely hard to do in the NFL, it’s usually a good combination of a few things,Β but it starts with protecting the QB and being able to move the ball downfield. Any team that struggles with that, even with a top ranked rushing team, is going to lose mostly. It’s never the other way around. The Cowboys are a good example last year.Β The Bills and the Browns had the two best run per carry averages in the league in 2016.Β

Tom Brady absolutely carried them in 2004.Β
Not as hard in 2016, but he certainly pulled his weight.Β

Fun Fact: In all 7 of Tom Brady's Super Bowl appearances, they had a bye in the first round.

Looking like both Redskins and Cowboys are going to notch impressive wins...

Spin zone: Maybe those teams, Panthers and Jags, aren't as good as we thought and our schedule isn't as hard as it initially looked...

The jags offense is terrible,Β but also playing without Fournette. Defensively, they are just having a bad game. Still a good team, but having Bortles as a qb means you're going to have weeks like this.

I've been thinking all year that Jacksonville's overrated tbh.

Panthers I still think are easily a playoff team in any division. But Christian McCaffery isn't a good runningback, even if he's a good weapon. He can't be a feature back. Huge reach at 8th overall.
