No. He’s still 25 and learning. Playing behind a crappy OL. Danger
He might have been benched in a few more games... if not for that contract. He's safe for a few seasons right now from that alone.

He should have had to play next year on the franchise tag like Dak
jrry32
If Havenstein and Allen are out for the foreseeable future, I'd consider benching Goff. There's no reason to get him destroyed behind this disaster of an OL.
GSUeagles14
does anyone really know wat kind of qb goff is? Hes had a couple of good years of excellence in an offense that was considered cutting edge, his rookie year was abysmal and now he looks well below average Plenty of qbs have played behind bad olines and looked light years better then him now, i mean he genuinely looks like a bad nfl starter. Seems lie the rams should have waited on siging him to that huge deal but ill let @jrry32 have the last word. El Ramster
I love Goff and think the world of him. No qb ever looks good under pressure all day long. But he does deserve the criticism he gets here, I won’t deny it.

Maybe I missed it but was anyone making a thread about benching Stafford? Like can’t find it. It's always been the Lions organization holding Stafford back, not the other way around. It pretty easy to see now that we're in yet another lost season of not being able to field a competent running game or defense.

Watson is a scrambling/athletic QB and Goff is a pure pocket passer so a bad OL will hurt Goff more naturally That’s what separates Watson from all other young QBs in my opinion everyone else has either a great offensive coordinator or HC and/or they have a great supportive cast. Rams don't even have an average NFL line. Most QBs would struggle.

Chiefs had 7 o-line suited and 1 starter got hurt and then his backup got hurt. Of the 5 playing at that time only 2 would be regular starts and one of the two who was playing was playing out of his starting spot. terrible argument
