Broncofan Posted October 18, 2019 Share Posted October 18, 2019 I've been very impressed with Rich's Scangarelli's evolution as DEN's OC...until tonight. He fell into the KC trap of being too predictable in the 1H, and his run-run tendency seeing KC's weakness allowed them to crash the run early. Then total pressure they've had no real answer for. Then, on the only 3rd and short - Scangarelli called for spread formation with Freeman as the RB. That wasn't fooling anyone, so KC played pass - you have to have Lindsay out there to respect the draw or even RB swing pass...instead, another failed 3rd down (only 1 conversion after the 1st drive). One game isn't enough to despair, but Scangarelli is getting outclassed by KC DC Steve Spagnolo. And Hill finally busts one....27-6. Given how bad our O is, that's likely game. Which as a DEN fan that sees 2021 as the earliest ETA for legit contention, and who had $ on KC...I'm all for.
