candyman93
Read that Higgins didn’t drop a single pass last year. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HiggRa00.htm
candyman93
Kid has super stud potential if he can stay healthy. Very similar to Denzel skill wise and athletically. Denzel is just slightly faster (but I think he’s the fastest in the nfl).

Certainly a big improvement over whoever started as our #2 CB when Ward played, and #s 1 and 2 when Ward was out.
bruceb
This is very encouraging. https://www.brownszone.com/2021/06/01/otas-begin-with-myles-garrett-practicing-attendance-slanted-toward-defense/ At least the D players, who need it the most, understand the value of OTAs to themselves and the team. As for Tretter, typical union crap speak: "Center JC Tretter, who’s president of the NFL Players Association, has repeatedly encouraged players across the league to skip the voluntary offseason program. He’s cited injury risk, overly intense practices and a league-wide culture that stigmatizes players for not attending something that was collectively bargained as voluntary." There should be a stigma for anyone who puts themselves before the team. Edited June 1, 2021 by bruceb add link

None of you guys crapped your pants when Joe Thomas only showed up on Sundays.

He was late in his career, the team was going nowhere and he happened to be about as good as it gets. Tretter, imho, is representing his aging fat ***, not the interests of the younger and newly added players and certainly not the better interests of the team. All of the young, hungry bubble guys are going to show up anyways. OTAs have always been for them. Tretter is essentially at the same point in his career as Thomas near the end. Tretter has been very good btw. I think it's fair for him to choose to sit out and encourage the other accomplished vets to chill out until it matters as well.
