Highly doubtful. BoB trades away great players who don't fit his culture, why would he go after a bad player who doesn't fit his culture?

BoB and Doug Marrone came up together in the coaching ranks, so there's familiarity and a similar moral belief, IMO. The same behaviors that irk Marrone will probably irk BoB, too.

I was speaking strictly from a scheme fit, not necessarily a culture or the BOB factor. :)

The same holds true for New England/Buffalo. :)

People forget that Richardson was pretty productive in Cleveland - I'll concede that Fournette was MORE productive, but it wasn't as if Richardson was an immediate bust, it took about 1.5 season to realize it wasn't just because Cleveland, y'know?

A lot of good college players drafted in that era by Cleveland that went on to be busts. Either Cleveland was making really bad choices or they weren't transitioning well because of Cleveland coaching. That's a topic for another day but Trent was good his first year in Cleveland tbh, I think he was on the top 100 list lol

Fournette needs an attitude adjustment if he's going to make it in the NFL. He had a productive 2019, sure he shouldn't be RB1 of a primarily run based offense but sharing the backfield with a more talented RB would do him well. I hope he goes unsigned until someone goes down, knock his ego a bit. Same with Earl Thomas. It's clearly worked on AB, he's begging for a spot on a roster now.

I wonder about this too - the Texans have used spread/read elements to it, with Watson at the helm. I don't know if that fits the mold...

Similar things were said about Trent Richardson following his trade from Cleveland to Indianapolis...

There are guys who look good in college and only get by because they were bigger/faster/stronger than anyone else, you don't need to put time in to pick up the nuances of how an OL opens a hole or how a defender likes to position to defend a hole - at this level, even a position like RB requires talent that is beyond physical. You need to have the football IQ and work ethic to succeed.

By all accounts, Fournette doesn't have those key attributes. Maybe this is the kick in the pants to work on those things, but we can't say for certain.

I brought up a similar point talking about how so many "NFL ready as Freshman" types tend to bust.

If we used a 10 point scale, I'd say Fournette's God-given talent is a 7. In college you can coast on that alone. In your early NFL career, it can get you the benefit of the doubt for a bit. But guys tend to buy into their hype and think that they're a natural 10, which leads to complacency.

Fournette is talented enough to play in the league if his head is in the game. But I think he got used to being told he was the bee's knees thus far, and it shows. So hopefully your right and it's a kick he needs, because seeing talent go to waste sucks.

Great landing spot. He's a terrific pass blocker and Brady loves/requires that next to him.

yea its going to be good for him.   Thats something the Bucs were lacking is a good pass blocker.     I'm curious to see who the odd man out is in the depth chart they also signed Shady
