I figured out how we get left out at 11-5. We lose to Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

 

Baltimore wins out.

Indy wins out and finishes 12-4.

Miami only loses to Kansas City and wins out.

Tennessee only lose to Green Bay and wins out.

 

Now some of this would be shocking as hell. The two big ones being Indy wins out and Miami wins out after losing to KC.

 

Also, if Pittsburgh is 13-2 and Kansas City is 14-1 in week 17, there’s no scenario where Pittsburgh gets the #1 seed.

You’re right, but we would HAVE to essentially lose to the Steelers backups week 17. If Pittsburgh beats Indy and didn't rest starters week 17 we’d be in even with a loss against Pittsburgh because of our tie breaker with Indy.

 

Beat the Giants and Jets. Then a LOT of crazy ish would have to happen for us to be out.
