Doesn't sound like it. Apparently injured reserve (3 games) isn't even being discussed yet.

Nah, this is setting up the curtain call. Brees will find his way back to the Saints come playoff time and game manage a great Saints team to a SB win, then ride off into the sunset...

Not from a rib injury.
Saints play Falcons, Broncos, Falcons, then Eagles before hosting the Chiefs. Look for him to be on the field for the Chiefs game, well rested and ready to go.

And to imagine that Brees finished the drive, AND lead another scoring drive before halftime with all that damage. That's tough!!

Brees tried to play in the second half. Goodness. 

Heres the challenge. He had rib fractures heading INTO the game. The hit likely just finished the job. You can do nerve blocks and put the jacket back on him...but that has already worked out poorly once so far.
