ChazStandard
Quote The Buccaneers could be getting a big piece back on their defensive line for the NFC Championship Game. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Bucs are designating defensive tackle Vita Vea for return from injured reserve. Vea can practice with the team on Wednesday and could be added to the active roster for Sunday’s game in Green Bay. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/18/bucs-designate-vita-vea-for-return-from-injured-reserve/ Big piece for the Bucs if he can come back. EDIT: Rephrased the title to make it clearer Edited January 18, 2021 by ChazStandard
Jeezla
That's huge if he's actually healthy. If he's out there at 75% then he's just kinda there, but if he's 90%, that's a big W for TB's defense.
minutemancl
Probably the most underrated interior DL in the NFL. Vea is a freak, and would be a huge addition for the Bucs to make a push. Would be a fun battle to watch too between him and that really strong GB interior OL.
N4L
This is a complete game changer for them. Wow, huge news!
ronjon1990
If he's playing and is relatively healthy, it could change my prediction from a close loss to a close win.

djw4bucs
Will be a big aspect in not only the run game but the pass game by taking up some blockers to allow our playmakers in Shaq and JPP to get to the QB quicker, huge if he actually comes back
JohnCena
That's huge for the Bucs.

SkippyX
Its completely normal to see a guy come off IR and play right away... this year. The rule is completely different under 2020 and COVID
Broncofan
Because it's a fracture, it's pretty easy to say he's ready to play after X weeks. This is a normal time frame. What's more in question, is how much game shape he's in. It's good he's been running for a while now. If he can play 20-25 plays at 80+ percent capacity or better - wow, it's a game-changer for sure. AB being out sucks, but Vea & Ronald Jones in - is a big plus for TAM. That D was near-elite when he was disrupting. The CB's are still their weakness, but if he has even a modest impact, it's a huge game changer for how that D works.
