Correct

2nd & 11 at LAC 46

(1:20 - OT) (Shotgun) J.Jacobs left tackle to LAC 39 for 7 yards (K.Murray, K.White).

(0:38 - OT) Timeout #1 by LAC at 00:38.

The narrative that Staley intentionally kept time on the clock to force the Raiders hand, thus causing Raiders to retaliate, is frankly ignorant to the situation and slander toward Staley

Raiders just were greedy

duh

Its not the time stopping.

Its the minute for thinking about what the hell that idiot is doing with his timeouts and realizing you might have 30 seconds on the clock after a missed FG. The Raiders ran a play to gain yards instead of a play to bleed clock. That was all on Staley.

The timeout did nothing but give the defense a breather. The Raiders we’re going to run the same play.

Yes for 2-3 yards and to let the clock expire. Go look at Carrs post game comment! They weren't attempting a 55+ yd FG that might get block, might have a botch hold, might get taken the opposite way for a TD.

They clearly were playing for the tie from the 2 minute warning on. Only way they win is Jacob's running for a TD (poor tackling) or Staley calling a GD TO.

Stupidity

Congrats to the Raiders, clearly showed up prepared and, excluding 4th downs, played a pretty solid game.

The fact we could have won it with a 2pt conversion, at the end of the game, is ridiculous, given what was on display from both teams.

Good luck in the playoffs!

Yeah, the QB openly admitted it and there’s a video of players making it look like it too.

If after all of that you still think “it changed nothing” then idk what else to say.

If they got the same run yardage on 3rd down even without the timeout then they were still most likely attempting the FG.

This. I'm sure, timeout or not, had they wound up on 4th down from like the 42, they would've let the clock run. And I'm sure, timeout or not, with a 1st and 10 from the 30, they would have kicked it. The timeout mattered less than the yardage gained on 3rd down.

No they weren't,  time would expire and Raiders guarantee a Playoff birth instead of....

attempting a 55+ yd FG that might get block, might have a botch hold, might get taken the opposite way for a TD.

Exactly, timeout or no timeout, if they get that yardage on 3rd down they are kicking the FG. If the Chargers stopped them for a short gain or no gain then they let the clock run out. The thing it came down to was the Chargers not stopping them on 3rd down.
