They had to snap the ball anyways lol timeout didn’t do anything really. Or did i miss something?

See the above. It gave the Chargers a chance to reset their defense but it also allowed the Raiders to actually try when they were clearly not trying before the timeout.

That timeout was absolutely the right call.

Staley took it with no time left in the play clock after analyzing the defense. There was :38 left so they could still go for the tie.

People are so dumb

Right. People are acting like he called it to preserve time. He called it just to set the defense based on the look the offense gave. Happens all the time, not sure why people aren't comprehending that.

Staley calls a timeout to set the defense correctly to stop an obvious running play and still gets diced up.  Maybe should have gone to a 5 man front to make them throw it over the top.

Raiders were win-win anyway. Their main strategy was to avoid a turnover/game killing play and the safest way to do that is run it up the gut. Chargers had him stopped too, the RB just broke the tackle

Not the way they kept blowing it on 4th and long time and time again. They had like 7 chances to just end the game with a stop. 6 4th attempts and final play of regulation. Raiders tried to blow it

Yeah, but that was the script!

If the Chargers break off that run before the timeout you think they are letting the clock run out? Certainly seems that if they were in range they were attempting the FG.
