By some comments you’d think this was a good team that was held back to only win 9 games because of our QB (that describes a team like the Steelers, that’s a pretty good roster with abhorrent QB play). Hurts ability to run was vital to the gimmick offense we ran that allowed a bottom third roster to make the playoffs. If it wasn’t clear by every good QB dismantling us, we are more than a QB away from being a good team. 1 game against what looks like is going to be a top postseason D again, where the offense’s bread and butter was taken out of the equation, really hasn’t changed my opinion of Hurts at all. He got rattled in his 1st playoff game. Young QB with plenty of flaws (as many do), has shown flashes throughout season, TBD if he will improve (1 step forward 1 step back with him these days), probably not the guy due to subpar physical traits giving him shorter leash, but it’s not like playing him is a waste of time. He’s not Jake Fromm levels of hopelessness.
