Russell Wilson traded to Broncos for Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, Drew Lock, two 1sts, two 2nds

Tough for Seattle to not get any of our prized young players. None of Lock, Harris or Fant were in Denver’s long term plans. Harris is a solid player and Fant has been okay but there’s no real building block there.

I guess Fant and Harris are upper caliber players, arguably top 10/15 at their respective positions. Would of liked to see Seattle get another 1st round pick in this deal, but can't complain too much about the return given Wilson's no trade clause and the fact that he looked to be regressing last year, albeit largely due to the injury and rushing back from it. If Seattle can find themselves a legitimate QB in the draft, the offensive side of the ball still has a lot of potential b/w DK/Lockett/Fant/Carson.

Agree. Compensation isn't bad here. I get that it is sad for Seattle to lose Wilson and they aren't likely to find another Wilson in the near future, but they really don't have the team to seriously compete for SBs with the rest of his career, either, so this move makes sense.

Seattle won the trade imo.

Nice work there

yeah idk why everyone is acting like Seattle didnt get enough lol

what more do you want?? 2 firsts 2 seconds a good DLman, a very highly regarded TE , Lock is meh but could still start and play decent

but that's a good haul imo

😂 yeah maybe that part is a little optimistic

but imo Lock should have started over Teddy B, Lock never got too much playing time to see what he really is, he COULD still be decent but we dont know yet, but the potential scenery change could spark something who knows

With Lockett on the market too, Seahawks rebuilding i guess?

Who's untouchable on their roster besides DK Metcalf?

Lockett and Adams would cost nearly 20 million more to trade than to keep. I assume neither is going anywhere this year.

I get the "AFC West is brutal" idea, and I think the Chiefs are playoff lock as long as Mahomes stays healthy... but Vegas is a literal and figurative wild card and Herbert hasn't even made the playoffs yet. Never underestimate how much Chargers will Charger no matter how good they look on paper.

Week one next year Denver comes to LA

You think they're going to schedule AD to do his annual injury of Russ that quickly?  They'll give the Broncos at least a couple weeks...

Is it at all possible that SEA knows more than us about RW? Meaning, they think last year was possibly more regression than injury?

Obviously, there is no doubt he is a great player. But now that he's a Bronco, I need to start cherrypicking cases against him.

3 firsts or not, do you really trade away a SB winning QB you believe in after a tough year like this? I know he's not Aaron Rodgers, but you see the Packers bending over backwards to make things work there, ego or not.

-----

tldr; - Russell sucks anyway I never even liked him he was never any good

This was the direction I went as well. As evidenced by Green Bay, QB talent trumps all and I refuse to believe that Seattle is that dumb of a franchise to let some friction end it all/side with the old coach. Now is there a strong likelyhood that they overreacted to a perceived decline and tried to sell high? Yes, but my guess is that they do think he's on a downward trajectory.
