Lol, guess you missed the first 3 playoff games he had against them where he kicked their butts.  He kicked their butts 3 years in a row, starting in 1995 when that 49er team was a 21 point favorite, and then again in 96 and 97 on his way to two Superbowl appearances.  Yeah he finally lost that game in 1998, thanks still to some blind refs who screwed up the play where Jerry Rice should have been ruled as having fumbled that ball.

But his overall playoff record against them was 3-1.  That's 10000x better than our current mediocre big game blowing idiot head coach and his predecessor.  So don't give me this ridiculous "what does Holmgren have to do with it" crap.  Holmgren is the only Packer HC in the modern era with a winning playoff record against SF.

Matt LaFleur is 100% at fault for our last two playoff losses against SF, and if we make it to the playoffs, which entails beating Minny this Sunday which would knock em out of the 2 seed and put SF in that spot guaranteeing our opening playoff game is there.  If we make it, LaFleur must be given the ultimatum to win it or be fired.  0-3 vs SF cannot be tolerated.

Not only that, Rodgers can't play against the 49ers if we meet them in the playoffs.

Holmgren was 0-life against the Cowboys.

Filippo Brunelleschi was a sought after sculptor who entered a contest and won. He won the job of building the largest duomo (dome) on a cathedral in Florence (Firenze) which hadn't been done previously. Started in 1296 and finished in 1475  with a 50 year pause. It took so long because of add ons and the part about "it-had-never been-done-before" aspect.  He built the dome from 1420 to 1436, innovating techniques and tools to his novel ideas. He built a smaller dome underneath the real one to test his ideas. This means the Popes drafted him and asked him to do what no one else had done; building the largest dome with brick successfully.  He had to figure it out first but only after he took the job.  Took the job > figured it out > built it. He went back and added space underneath for people to gather and speak with the philosophers on the tribuna in the excedra. Italians still name their sons "Filippo" in his honor.

I don't think giving Amari Rodgers more or less time would have made a difference.  Offense and Defense needed and still needs to dominate for the wins.

Daypost vs. Night Man

Good lord, this ostentatious pedantry has such an extremely flimsy connection to football it might have been mine.

Repped! 👍🏻

Rodgers is 0-4 against the 49ers in the postseason because he personally ordered his teammates to let the 49ers win as they were his favorite team growing up. We can't trust Rodgers in any more postseason games against the 49ers.

It’s actually all on the coaches. SF sent Mike McCarthy to sabotage all Rodgers chances against the niners in the playoffs. Then when triangle of power caught on, they fired MM. Unbeknownst to the triad, they replaced him with another Niner saboteur, whose best man was in their coaching staff. Now that Saleh is in New York, MLF has been relieved of his Niner simping.

The Packers' coach during the majority of Lovie Smith's tenure has an outside shot at the Hall of Fame if he gets a bounce or two with his current team. Lovie Smith will not sniff the hall. Using him as a reference point for success has to be some kind of joke. He's lost more games than he's won.

LLcheesehead isn't rational. He thinks every other coach in NFL history > MLF.

Almost, but Packers destroyed them in 1997.

I've often wondered how many Super Bowl appearances that Cowboys team took from us.

They were just so, so amazing as a team.  Very difficult hump to get over.

I mean, that team was so good even Barry Switzer won a Super Bowl with them.

The early/mid-90s Cowboys team is up there with the 60s Packers and 70s Steelers as probably one of the top 3-4 teams ever assembled.

Packers would have at least gone to 3-straight SBs in 95-97 and would have even had a shot in 94 if they could have also gotten past the Niners that year.

Rodgers Purdy is irrelevant.  The 49's have the best D in the league.  That's the problem here.  We won't beat them this year either.  Not a chance.  Really hope we don't have to face them in the first round.  Their only achilles head is Purdy.  He's been playing really good ball but have a feeling he'll choke in the playoffs.
