It's not though. Coming right out of the movie you yourself only provided a theory as to what matters. The fact that both you and I don't know for certain if anything does is pretty sad. Especially when this was hyped as the most important movie since Endgame.

I don't feel sad. I feel excited for the next chapter of the story.

You're overstating the exposition dump too. You could explain all of it in one sentence.

You can say that about almost anything.

No. Only $225 million. $105 million domestic, $120 million international. $225 million worldwide.

While I'm certainly open to that possibility, a theory is not an answer. If things change down the line, I will happily admit to being wrong. However, based on everything we know right now, what I said was correct.

Spoiler

I believe somewhere Feige said this is like THE Kang. There will be more, but this is the one who’s going to be back in Kang Dynasty

BoxOfficeMojo combined the Domestic with the Worldwide instead of the International. They also counted the Thursday previews twice for the Friday total. Every other Box Office site (TheNumbers, BoxOfficePro, Deadline, etc.) has it correct at $225 million.

BOM is not run well anymore.

No real film critic here, but here are my thoughts after watching it.

I enjoyed it, but it was a pretty "meh" movie.

It was like a cross between Star Wars New Hope and Avatar.  I didn't like all the CGI, but I get why it needed to be.  Just felt forced.  And it seemed like most of the movie was an extension of the Cantina Scene from Star Wars.

Bill Murray was there...and not developed by a backstory at all.  There was history there with Janet, but not explored at all.

The only thing I really liked?  Kang.  I liked the character.

Cassie was a forced character.  Hope was criminally under used.

But, it was entertaining, I did enjoy myself, but it was not a "good" movie.  Like others, I feel like the best of the MCU is in the past.
