Was anyone really surprised by that performance?  It was just a matter of time with how they played all year and clearly even when Darrisaw was in the lineup he was getting beat.

The real tell will be how they come back and how they respond, and a ton of people were on the fence about the team for a reason.

Suspect defensive play, relying on turnovers way to much and giving up a ton of yards and just hoping the pass rush gets home to cover up the secondary.  The secondary is an issue obviously.  Not to mention the lack of commitment to the run game which ultimately hurts the defense and the offensive line which is giving up more and more pressures as the season goes on and guys get hurt.  Heard in the game Ingram gives up more pressures than anyone in the NFL, not sure if that is any OL or just a RG, and the backup to Darrisaw is obviously struggling big time but that is understandable.

By the way, was that the largest point differential in the NFL this year in terms of a score?  Might be.

We’ve basically been out scored for the year yet we’re 8-2. Has to be unheard of. Thursday is a must win game mostly for the fact that if they can’t bounce back immediate it’s a sign this team is closer to Detroit than Philly (which is kind of where im at but that’s okay for year 1).

I find trying to assign blame to why the Vikings got their butts kicked is probably counter productive.  I think the coaches and players can put it behind them and prepare for the Patriots.

Ultimately, the Vikings are 8-2.  If we can get a couple of key players back in good health, i.e. Darrisaw, Evans, and Tomlinson, I think the team will be fine.

There is still a lot of wins to get this season.  The Patriots defense is stout, but doesn't have the overall speed the Cowboys defense has.  On offense, they have trouble moving the ball and scoring.  It will likely be another close game, but a very winnable one for the Vikes. Skol.

Hard to believe that Booth is this bad given his college tape. He looked so hesitant and slow to process what was happening. That’s looking like a bad trade so far.

Potential silver lining- He looks bad specifically because he isn't processing the game well (hopefully) yet. I'd prefer that to him reading and reacting but just being too physically limited to play at this level.

The saddest thing is the team is simply not a physically or mentally tough football team.  They are very finesse which is disappointing because not sure that wins in the NFL, especially if you cannot put the hammer down and knock a team out like Dallas did to them.  The front 7 has to totally dominate because the secondary is so suspect and that is not happening, and the OL is clearly getting worse as the year goes on and as teams know the Vikings new offense and how to attack it.

Kirk's little dance he tried late in that game with his arms moving up and down, yeah that is not going to do anything and that is not leadership.  I sure hope that was a signal for an audible or something because if he was doing his stupid dance in that freaking plane with the chain on as a way to loosen the group up or something, that is just sad and pathetic.

It is definitely a signal, audible, or something. He's done it before.
