We are talking about a backup QB who will be going up against a dominant Michigan team or a Washington team that can put up so many points that FSU wont be able to keep up. Sure is great for TV ratings and money but honestly the bowl system was better and made fans happier because 50% of the teams that went to a bowl game won, now no one will even care about any bowl game even if they call a certain amount of 12 team playoff game bowl games.... and again there will be 11 pissed off major programs in college football and one winner that is not.... That kind of is the support, all of the talk and chatter about who is the best team, now with a playoff that is great but will add four weeks to the year and make bowl games basically not even exist most likely on the lower levels. College Football is not college basketball and upsets are not as easy where in basketball now since the talent pool is so crap, smaller schools with seniors and experience beat more hyped up schools all the time, and honestly March Madness, college football is not that and no clue why they would want to be that. And actually Nick Saban had it right years ago and adding more games does not help the players and is a negative to the format. What it does is help the people making the big money in the sport. Not to mention he also predicted correctly the inbalance of the sport with NIL deals and it does not spread the talent around it just makes it all go to where the money is and the major programs. Back again though, when Florida State loses probably badly to Georgia, who will come defend them like this? Georgia's defense will shut down Florida State and that run game, then Georgia offensively will spread the ball around to multiple receivers and get the ball out quickly and take advantage of the overly aggressive Florida State defense. But no Florida State will win because they are so deserving of the 4th seed in the playoff? I doubt it. FSU deserves to be there, even if the end result is a blowout. We shouldn’t be ranking teams based on how we think they would do. They were a top 4 team going into the conference game. They shouldn’t get jumped by two teams. That’s ridiculous, what’s the point of the rankings teams during the season. Yeah, they're should be no rankings at this point until they reveal the playoff bracket. Treat the 12 team playoff like the NCAA tournament. Given FSU's defense, not sure if those teams would really run up the score unless FSU's offense consistently put the defense in a bad spot.
