And full medical staff.

I wasn't aware we needed a new medical staff as well. Thats good, we've been too banged up for years. I remember many years ago, we always used to be really healthy, then all of a sudden we're one of the most banged up teams every year.

Having a healthy squad would do us wonders, Shanny needs to nail that hire.

Don't think he did a bad job overall but if we can improve we should. From what i understand he was more the run game DL Coach after we signed Kiffin as the pass rush specialist.

Yeah, some might argue this was Saleh's sacrificial lamb, but really, the line has not developed. Their play hasn't been bad so he might be able to get another job, but 0 development on the part of Thomas and Pita and even Marsh is just a really bad look for a position coach.

And on the other hand you have the development of Buckner and DJ Jones. Besides that with guys like Pita and Marsh do they fall under D-Line or OLB which are coached by Johnny Holland or do they fall under pass rush specialist Chris Kiffin. Thomas i can agree with but i don't know if you can blame that on a position coach when he has been misused so clearly.

Has Jones really developed though? He's looked good, sure but so far he hasn't proven to be irreplaceable. We like him because he's young and shown promise, but that's it. Promise. Buckner was a high level prospect who would have been a stud no matter what. We could play him at LEO and he'd still kill it.  But I see your point. Don't think he's been terrible, but we need more, especially from edge (which I assume he's responsible for).

Bryant Young as new DL coach maybe maybe?

or, (b) Bryant Young, one of their all-time great players who’s spent the past two seasons coaching the Atlanta Falcons’ defensive linemen.

While Tomsula’s return could be far fetched, Young’s availability is unknown, as he was not among those ousted when the Falcons fired their coordinators earlier this month.

I’m all for bringing back Tomasula, especially if he wants out of DC, and him bringing Preston Smith along with him to serve as our LEO.

I would say DJ Jones has developed for a 6th rounder. But yeah I agree with what your saying. I think k a change will be best. Hopefully we hire outside of the current coaching staff with a vet Dline coach.

Make it happen!!!

I like our chances to a certain extent. As long as the market doesn't completely blow up, I think we will be in a good position since I think Lynch and shanny will be aggressive in trade talks.

Agreed. I hate giving up draft picks but if a 2nd this year and another pick does it then I'm all for it.
