S - Savage or Blair

LB - Edwards or Giles-Harris

DT - Hill or Mack

DE - Crosby

S - Tell

LB - Hanks

WR - Boykin or McLaurin

I think Savage will go before Hooker. We might be the team that takes him. His jersey would sell like hot cakes if he ended up good.

We will host Ed Oliver for a visit. I would love him at 25. What do you think?

If people are dumb enough to let him drop, Hell yeah

Him, Fletch and Malik is a scary good trip in the interior to get to the passer

CGJ is probably getting drafted before Hooker

I like the Trey Watson pick

We use pick 57 on David Montgomery.

How do you feel?

Seems like every time I had an Iowa st game on during the college season he wasnt doing anything. Now should I judge him for my going back and forth between 4 games at a time? Probably not. But will I anyway? Sure.

You can see how Howie treats the RB position. He’d never spend a 1st on one.

It hard to say NEVER. I mean before last year did you think BB was ever going to take a RB in Round 1? They certainly aren't going to reach for one or value an equally rated RB over most other positions, but I doubt they would take a worse player because of a hard and fast "never take an RB" rule.

Think you had a good read. Better backs, we just traded a conditional 6th for Montgomery essentially.

I guess never is an extreme word. However, this is how I look at it;

The only way Howie would take a RB 1st round is if he’s a generational player. i.e. Saquon, LT, Gurley, etc. And for the most part, if those guys are touted to be the next big thing at RB, then typically they are taken in the first 10 or so picks. And since rarely do we find ourselves picking that early then obviously we had a very off year or just aren’t any good as a team. So one would assume, given the ineptness of the team,  we’d need a much more valuable position to take to get a proper return on investment. QB, OL, DL and such. Of course, there’s some exceptions. Maybe Howie swindles a team and we gain an extra 1 and the team is complete enough to take the risk on a 1st round RB or some other extenuating possibility. I dunno. Howie is clearly setting a trend here though. Trade worthless picks for proven, young RBs out of favor with their teams on their rookie deals and run a committee of cheap backs. Maybe never say never but it would take a tornado of perfect events to align.
