GM claimed 7 on waivers therefore has to cut 7 players. clearly way out of his depth He didn't actually, he cut 3 players to add 7, the 3 players were 1 for 1, oh and he signed 2 back to the practice squad. Clearly out of his depth. Lol

Just miss playoffs. Pick in middle of draft. Trade down for extra picks in 2023 and cut 90% of them in 2024? (see how fun this is - come play)

We don't know how he'll handle his picks that underperformed

I would bet he'll be an average/solid starter While he's not trash, he ain't Akiem Hicks. Expect Dalvin Cook and Aaron Jones to run all over him. SemperFeist
I see Justin Fields is endearing himself to the fans.
vike daddy
There’s nothing more important to the Bears this year than the development of quarterback Justin Fields, but through two games the Bears aren’t giving Fields many opportunities to show what he can do. Fields has thrown just 28 passes this season, which is dead last in the NFL and then some: Fields actually ranks 33rd in the NFL, not 32nd, because every starting quarterback has thrown more passes than Fields, including both quarterbacks who have started for the Cowboys. Every other team in the NFL has at least 28 completions. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/09/20/bears-barely-passing-justin-fields-has-just-28-attempts-through-two-games/
wcblack34
Remember when people were really mad we passed on Justin Fields? Good times.
Cearbhall
If it is true that Rick Spielman tried to trade up for both Justin Fields and Johnny Manziel, I am glad he isn't our GM anymore. Those two bullets are ones that would have set the team back multiple years.
