Didn’t do much. But he def had at least one good rep

For 15 snaps a game, he's flashing. He needs an offseason, but I'm expecting a jump after the bye week... It's not just the physical break, which is big, it's the mental break after 3 1/2 months of grinding.

He's averaging a pressure once every 3 games. He's not flashing. He's basically Tyler Lancaster at a position where being Tyler Lancaster isn't as helpful to the defense. He's only getting 15 snaps a game? No wonder he seems invisible.

Yep, he's the 4 OLB with a lot of experience in front of him. Haters are gonna hate, it's what they do, but considering he's 21 & raw as sushi, he's fine. He's also been active. Like @cheesehawk said, he blew up the pocket on one of Smith's sacks, chased Allen on another pass play and held the edge well on a couple runs. MacReady
Expectations need to change. Since 1999, 16 players have had double digit sacks in their rookie year. Only 16. Only 16 players since 1999 have had double digit sacks in their first season. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&year_min=1999&year_max=2019&season_start=1&season_end=1&pos[]=dt&pos[]=de&pos[]=dl&pos[]=ilb&pos[]=olb&pos[]=lb&pos[]=cb&pos[]=s&pos[]=db&draft_year_min=1936&draft_year_max=2019&draft_slot_min=1&draft_slot_max=500&draft_pick_in_round=pick_overall&conference=any&draft_pos[]=qb&draft_pos[]=rb&draft_pos[]=wr&draft_pos[]=te&draft_pos[]=e&draft_pos[]=t&draft_pos[]=g&draft_pos[]=c&draft_pos[]=ol&draft_pos[]=dt&draft_pos[]=de&draft_pos[]=dl&draft_pos[]=ilb&draft_pos[]=olb&draft_pos[]=lb&draft_pos[]=cb&draft_pos[]=s&draft_pos[]=db&draft_pos[]=k&draft_pos[]=p&c5val=1.0&order_by=sacks The above link shows every single defensive player's sack totals in their first season. If you limit this to solely EDGE rushers, that number drops to 14. Some notable defenders who had under 6 sacks in their rookie seasons: Justin Houston - 5.5 Z. Smith - 5.5 Cameron Wake at 27 years old - 5.5 JJ Watt - 5.5 John Abraham - 4.5 Marcus Davenport - 4.5 Looking at first round picks, it's a lot of the same. Chandler Jones - 21st overall - 6 sacks Jason Pierre-Paul - 15th overall - 4.5 sacks Vic Beasley - 8th overall - 4 sacksCameron Jordan - 24th overall - 1 sack The odds are very good that Gary is going to give us one dominant season. Say it takes until his final contract year. If in 4 years Gary has a 16 sacks season and that is solely contract motivation, his pick will have been worth it. Obviously we want more than that, but the point here is that when you draft an EDGE rusher who is particularly young and was called raw from the beginning, you're not always gonna get a huge input in the first year, and that is no indication of future success. It's very possible Gary is a bust and never does anything. At the same time, it's very possible that Gary has a career more like Cameron Jordan. Rainmaker90
It’s just so ridiculous how people can’t grasp this . Z Smith 66 million dollars 8.5 sacks. P Smith 52 million dollars 10 sacks and then you have Fackrell who has played a lot of football and is coming off a 10 sack year. How many snaps did you expect him to play the first year ???

I agree with @Donzo on this one. The kid has probably hit both a physical and mental wall right about now. This two week break will be exactly what he needs. Nobody questions the athleticism. The effort is there, man if he can learn the technique, he will be a beast at some point. I'm hoping we see a few flashes of what can be in the next six games. It would be great if they felt he could be effective inside so Clark could get some snaps off. Although it would be even better if we had enough run stuffers to give Clark some time off on running downs too.

When evaluating the need to take a pass rusher in the first round, Fackrell is a scrub. When making excuses for our first round draft pick, Fackrell is a solid player. You would expect the 12th overall pick to see more than 250 snaps. That's what he's on track for this season. We're running the Smiths into the ground right now.
