Broncofan
This actually happened a while ago, but every time the Chiefs sent him a message to meet, he’d drop it. Edited May 10, 2019 by Broncofan

SteelKing728
This move significantly improved KC's Wide Receiver corps, so that's nice.

He seemed to be a solid character guy and was very physical as a ST Gunner. However, there is something about WR's who cannot run the entire route tree and catch the ball. He is a similar physical talent and compares in athleticism and skills to DK Metcalf. With size, strength, and speed, he wows you. With results, he leaves you scratching your head and cussing.
August4th
he was a beast against the jets a few yrs ago but did nothing but drop passes the rest of that yr.
ET80
He had a really strong preseason last year for Houston, but never did anything else. The Texans opted to go with QB Joe Webb as the #4 WR and Coates was never heard from again - even after Will Fuller, Keke Coutee and Demaryius Thomas were out. That's how bad Sammie Coates is.

It's weird. He started off really strong for the Steelers a few years ago and looked to be every bit the big play threat Martavis Bryant was. Then, he broke his hand (or fingers...cant remember) catching a pass from Ben....and it seems like his hand or his psyche never recovered from that. Even after we traded him, I thought he could at least make a decent 4 or 5 and occasional big play threat...and he cant even beat out training camp talent now. Nex_Gen
If the WR factory in Pittsburgh couldn't get anything out of him, nobody can. Man he was oozing as a prospect..

BayRaider
Had no idea this guy was still in the league. I remember when Pittsburgh drafted and I didn’t like him. None of his attributes stood. Even if you’re well rounded, if nothing stands out, no thanks.
