Also probably worth noting that the cost certainty on his raises gives the Dodgers a little more ammunition if they want to reset the luxury tax. Otherwise if Muncy makes a few million more in arbitration one year than they budgeted, it's an issue.

Sound logic. I just think they're gonna choke. It's fair. I also don't think it's out of the question that the Red Sox get 2nd in the East. Tampa Bay isn't that special. tom cody
I might sound like a homer here but don't discount Toronto either in the AL East. Doubt very much they win the division but they've had a good offseason. Could be a team that surprises people this year.

flyguy1609
https://www.cleveland.com/tribe/2020/02/cleveland-indians-have-talked-to-power-hitting-outfielder-domingo-santana.html Paul Hoynes of The Plain Dealer reports that the Indians are near a one-year, $1 million deal with free agent outfielder Domingo Santana. Santana was non-tendered by the Mariners after hitting .253/.329/.441 with 21 homers and 69 RBI along with eight steals in 121 games in 2019. The outfielder has defensive issues and piles up the strikeouts, but he's still capable of hitting for power as a 27-year-old. At the very least, Santana should be able to serve as a lefty-killer for Cleveland as they try to compete for an AL Central title in 2020. That makes him more of a DFS play than one who has value in redraft formats, at least to start the season.

Some weeks back she made comments critical of the A's player (Friers?) who broke the story about the Astros cheating stuff. This pissed off MLB (because she was an adviser of some kind for the Mets) and put ESPN in a bind. Manfred had spoken about this conflict of interest.....and the Mets decided to cut the cord. I think ESPN moving her out of the Sunday Night game was due to the chemistry not working - as has been reported for some time. The next one to be addressed is Pedro - who has a dual role as a Red Sox consultant/advisor plus MLB Network commentator. MLB wants to "speak with one voice" and these commentators mouthing off - with interests tied to teams......
