No way we give a 2nd. Foles isn't Osweiler bad, nor do we save much in cap by trading him.

What would make sense? Trade Foles and 3 for a 4th? Just dropping down a round? It looks like the cap savings would be about ~$3-4m. But there would be a real cash savings to your owner of about ~$15m.

Khan is one of the richest owners in sports. He's always let us pay as much as we wanted to on anything/everything that football ops wanted to do.

It would definitely be something minimal like dropping a round if we gave up compensation with Foles.

Why Panthers, why?

new ownership is tearing down the old and preparing for the new.
They are also tanking for the top pick in 2021 and are gathering as much draft capital as they can
Tepper is just getting warmed up. Cam is next

Turner is 26 though...no reason for him not to be part of the long term plans.

He's not under contract after 2021, so they can either plan to re-sign him then, or trade him now for future assets
They are shopping him to see what they can get. At that point they can make an informed decision.

If they land Trevor, they will be focused on winning in 2022 and beyond and most of the current roster won't be a part of that run.
They might keep him if they don't get a suitable offer, but Tepper is taking a very business-like approach to this re-build

Interesting route to take if they do. Feel like keeping a very good young guard is the better route to go with a young QB coming in next couple years and/or Cam.
