I feel bad for whatever team decides to sign Blake Martinez to a big deal ($9-10m/yr+). Reports have said he wants 10+ per...

Every player asks for the moon on the initial offer.  That's why we call it a negotiation.

The Colts are signing everyone:

(Reportedly) interested in: Phillip Rivers, Teddy Bridgewater, Tom Brady, Jadeveon Clowney, Austin Hooper, Yannick Ngakoue, Shelby Harris, Robby Anderson, Amari Cooper.

And now they’re trading for Andy Dalton.

I mean they have like 90 mil in cap space!

Yan's a prideful dude, not surprised with how we handled contract negotiations last fall this is how he feels.

Still going to get tagged, but considering our offer and this think we need to cut a trade asap.

Frank Clark and Dee Ford are good benchmarks, but I'm not sure if they came out publicly and expressed disinterest in signing long term. Could impact his trade value if teams know Jax doesn't have any fall back plans.

What is going on in Jacksonville between management and players? Ramsey and Fowler were excited to leave. Now, Yan is saying the same.

It was Coughlin. Obviously Shad shares a hand as he owns the team and let all of this happen as well, but Coughlin is the one that halted negotiations, criticized/pissed off Ramsey, etc.

Forcing him to play on $2M last year and not negotiating in good faith burned the bridge.

Yeah, but he was fired back in late December so wouldn't that sway players in the building that the problem was identified and changes have been made to correct it?

Again, Yan's a prideful guy. He held out and when he came back you could tell this wasn't something he was going to forgive.

Shad owns the team. He should've and could've stepped in once Coughlin said we're not negotiating and you are taking this or playing on your current contract. I'm sure there's some angst towards him in all this too.

Yeah, but likely that they're not willing to meet Yans asking price, paired with the Coughlin shenanigans last season that was the straw that broke the camels back. Can't blame the guy.
