The defense is horrendous, and none of these moves even attempted to answer to that. Ryan Tannehill as the full time starter, Phillip Rivers in Indy will also mean the Texans won't make the playoffs - AFCS isn't dormant anymore. texans will make noise as long as 4 is healthy. this was a dumb trade in the grand scheme of things but in terms of immediate impact, cooks is no scrub either. what i can't see, however, is them being any better than they were last year. and that's the rub with o'brien. Only a Rams fan would try to excuse or reason away almost $40M of their 2020 Cap being wasted on non Rams Players. 👌 "$198.2 million According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the 2020 salary cap is set at $198.2 million, an increase of $10 million from 2019Mar 16, 2020"

I could quite easily crap on the Eagles for some of their contracts, but they look bad because they're intentionally parking cap in certain years. Anybody who thinks about the cap solely in the context of one season doesn't understand how it works anymore. Since the NFL started rolling over all unused cap into the next year, it became fluid from year to year.

If anyone gets first dibs on Watson it's Ryan Pace so he can help rectify his Mitchtake in the draft! Anyhow, this trade makes no sense whatsoever. Someone needs to seriously check BOB for more than just the COVID virus, at this point. Texans recent trade history: --Traded 3rd round pick for RB Duke Johnson --Traded Rankin for a 29 year old RB Carlos Hyde --Traded 2020 and 2021 1st round picks PLUS 2 players (Bademsoi and Davenport) for Tunsil and Stills --Traded Clowney for a 2020 3rd round pick and LB Martin and Miongo --Traded 2020 3rd round pick for Gareon Conley(LOL) --Traded 2020 4th round pick + Nuk for a 28 year old RB DAvid Johnson and 2 draft picks (2020 2nd and 4th). --Traded 2020 2nd round pick for Cooks PLUS a 2022 4th round pick. Meanwhile, Cooks was drafted by the Saints with the 20th pick overall in the first round of the 2014 draft and has now since been traded for TWO 1st round picks -- NE (32nd pick) and LAR (#23rd pick), a 2nd round pick -- HOU (57th pick), a 3rd round pick (NE 103rd pick), AND a future 4th round pick! WOW! We're not talking Jerry Rice here either people........this is Brandin freaking Cooks! Curious anyone know if at any time in their careers, all 4 of them were healthy for an entire season at the same time? Honest question. Probably a better chance grabbing a $1M scratch off and winning.
RavensfanRD
How the Texans haven't revoked BOB's access to the facility is beyond me. BEYOND ME.
Hopper15
I'm not giving up a second for a concussion prone WR.
Dr LBC
BOB, to be clear, I would have gladly just swapped Nuk for Cooks. Might even have thrown in Gurley too, but definitely would have thrown in Malcolm Brown. Also, is there anything left of @ET80 to die at this point? Nabbs4u
B.O.B is so obsessed with trying to copy the KC Chiefs type of offense that he's to Stupid to realize his WR Corps is being created with a bunch of Sammy Watkins. WR's who have proven year in year out they are always 1 play away from their next hammy, quad, calf ,groin , concussion or core strain and missing several games. GL with that! In the end though this is really on the real Bob who owns the team for not only giving it to O'Brien but allowing him to abuse this power.
