Danger
Is this the worst division of all time? The only other times an NFL team made the playoffs with a losing record were 2010 NFC West (Seahawks at 7-9) 2014 NFC South (Panthers at 7-8-1) This division is currently 2-15-1 (.139) excluding division games. The two wins are Eagles against San Francisco (who was pretty injured) and a historic collapse by the pitiful Falcons who are known for giving up historic comebacks. Blackstar12
If each Division was a certain place NFCE would be a landfill.

Nabbs4u
Let you know if the NFCE winner finishes with 6 Wins.🍺
RandyMossIsBoss
I just heard SVP say 2020 NFCE has 2nd worst record for a division through week 6 since the merger... Didn't say who the worst division was. Would be interested to know who that division was so we could compare their record outside of the division w/ '20 NFCE's 2-15-1.
SkippyX
It was a mid 80s AFC Central division but they heated up later in the year. 1985 most likely.
BayRaider
Either the Eagles or Football Team take the division at this point. I picked The Football Team to win the division and the Eagles to get a wildcard before the season started. Not exactly going so well in the wildcard department... although still possible. I still think the Football Team win the division. Either 8-8 or 9-7. I'll say 9-7. Football Team Predictions: vs Dallas - W vs New York - W at Detroit - W vs Cincinnati - W at Dallas - W (very possible L) at Pittsburgh - L at San Francisco - L vs Seahawks - W (upset!!) vs Carolina - W (Rivera revenge game) at Philadelphia - W 9-7. Possibly 8-8. NFC East Division Winner. Alex Smith will be the starter at some point. Laugh now, that's fine, let's see what happens. I also picked The Football Team to win the division before the season started and also got massive criticism as well. Rivera about to go on a run like he has done many times. SkippyX
Nope, Cleveland blows that up at 4-2 after
TheRealMcCoy
Without the NFC East Tom Brady would be 9-0.
SkippyX
Just remember this about the teams and go a bit easy on the coaches and GMs. Philly and Dallas were likely 9-10 win teams before the seasons started. Their O-lines and other players have been put in a chipper shredder. Andy Reid went 4-12 and got fired when that happened to him in 2012.

Through 6 weeks: Pittsburgh (3-3) Cincinnati (1-5) Cleveland (1-5) Houston (0-6) 5-19 overall. 2-16 outside the division. The Eagles managing to salvage that hard-fought tie against the Bengals is what’s keeping our division from historical ignominy through 6 weeks. The 1984 AFC Central went 1-3 in Week 7 (the Steelers beat eventual SB champ San Francisco), so the 2020 NFC East will be safe for at least another week. This is a famous game in NFL history. The 49ers went 15-1 and 3-0 and just missed 19-0 in part because they stopped Pittsburgh on 4th down with a pass breakup in the end zone and the ref called a very iffy PI on it. The Steelers won by 3. FYI - They cover it in the Americas Game: 1984 49ers video Edited October 20, 2020 by SkippyX
RandyMossIsBoss
Only other comparable divisions through week 6, not including divisional games 2020 NFC East 2-15-1, -9.8 PD/G 1984 AFC Central 2-16, -10.9 PD/G Steelers, who were responsible for both wins, went on to win division and reach CC at 9-7. Bengals went 8-8 Browns went 5-11 Oilers went 3-13 2002 AFC North 2-12, -10.9 PD/G Steelers went 10-5-1 Browns went 9-7 and made playoffs Ravens went 7-9 Bengals, who were outscored by more than other 3 combined through 6 weeks, went 2-14
