Could Mahomes and Belichick get NYJ, CIN, or JAX to the playoffs?

If the best coach and the best player at the most valuable position (by an enormous margin) went to three bad teams, would they make the playoffs?

Hard to say, what with the NFL being so famous for the lack of parity, and for the decline in importance of the QB position for the last few years.  Probably not.

Belichick gets that Cincy OL playing at a higher level and Mahomes with that bevy of weapons in Cincy? 50% chance this season (only because 11-5 and within this division might not be enough).

The Jags, strong division, but not quite as strong from top to bottom. But not quite as good a team. 50% chance.

Jets in a division with presumably Gase coaching the Pats? I think the Jets have the squad with Mahomes to go 11-5 within that division for sure. Solid enough defensive pieces. Mims, Crowder, Perriman at WR... probably still have Bell with a winning squad and Belichick coaching. 90% chance of making it.
