patriotsheatyan
If Mahomes was the QB and Belichick was the HC of these teams but everything else was the same, do they make the playoffs this year?

Daniel
If the best coach and the best player at the most valuable position (by an enormous margin) went to three bad teams, would they make the playoffs? Hard to say, what with the NFL being so famous for the lack of parity, and for the decline in importance of the QB position for the last few years. Probably not.

sdrawkcab321
Yes. Jamison crowder and perriman would have about 10+ TDs each.
TheKillerNacho
get them to the playoffs in 2020? no.... maybe the Jaguars if they were healthy, but the talent simply isn't there for the Jets or Bengals. get them to the playoffs in the future if they both joined those teams today? yes
rich homie
Jets have 5 games lost decided by one score, Jaguars and Bengals have 6. The answer is absolutely yes.
RUGmen
Absolutely. Belichick would automatically make each of those defense at least better than average and Mahomes even without the Chiefs supporting cast, would obviously be a massive upgrade over any of those QBs. Blackstar12
In this scenario I think they barely squeeze into the playoffs. It’s not going to be easy especially how competitive the AFC playoffs is this year. Bills, Steelers, Titans, Browns, Colts, Ravens, Dolphins, Chiefs still got talent. Hunter2_1
BB got a team who's QB struggles to throw for 100 yards in a game, with key opt-outs on defense as well, to 6 wins (could be 7). Give him Mahomes, and a slightly better team at this point (NYJ are clearly better than NE at the moment) ....they're in the playoffs easily
KingOfNewYork
Of course.
diamondbull424
Belichick gets that Cincy OL playing at a higher level and Mahomes with that bevy of weapons in Cincy? 50% chance this season (only because 11-5 and within this division might not be enough). The Jags, strong division, but not quite as strong from top to bottom. But not quite as good a team. 50% chance. Jets in a division with presumably Gase coaching the Pats? I think the Jets have the squad with Mahomes to go 11-5 within that division for sure. Solid enough defensive pieces. Mims, Crowder, Perriman at WR... probably still have Bell with a winning squad and Belichick coaching. 90% chance of making it.
