It's the 2nd/3rd round, when it comes to the 2022 season, you're getting a body. The draft helped our defense, it's not going to aid the WR core next year. Ship sailed, time to move on. After the draft Landry, Jones, Fuller are still available. Guys are going to be June 1 cuts, players are going to go on the trading block in July/Aug after they don't get deals done in the off-season and camp opens. The Packers are going to run the hell out of the football and play good defense. Our pass game is going to be built on scheme and not iso. We'll be just fine, hell we may even win a championship because we're actually going to play the kind of ball that translates in the playoffs.
Mazrimiv
Pierce/Tolbert tonight and Austin sometime tomorrow would be enough for me to shut up about the WR's (for now)

Right, building a bully that plays best in Dec/Jan is a championship model.

Not saying he should or shouldn't, I just wouldn't be surprised.

Haha21
Ok it’s Day 2, I would be happy with Pierce, Pickens, Tolbert, Watson, or Metchie at WR.

mtsportsfan1
Any word how Metchie is coming along in his rehab ? Didn't want Christian Watson in the 1st but could see him in the 2nd with either pick if available.

I suppose Landy's probably got the most juice left (and likelihood to stay healthy) and counting on player cuts - as a plan moving forward - is fraught with peril. Yes - special teams played a part - but our defense came through in the playoffs. It was the offense that was absent. I posted a USA Today MD earlier and while it's all conjecture and bull**** - us coming out of the draft with WR1 being Tolbert is a fail IMO (given our needs) and them putting Pickens in a CHI uniform was nothing but mean spirited nastiness There's hope there still....although the candle's close to flickering out. PackFan13
Just because it's second round doesn't mean we are just getting a body. There are a few wrs still left that would fight for serious playing time on our below average group we have now

Especially depends on what you consider "a body". Greg, Davante, Cobb, James Jones, and Jordy all contributed some al beit not great compared to their prime years. Greg and James Jones especially because they had the most opportunitiy. That said, I think you're right that GB didn't get a guy in the 1st they will look for another vet to pair with the rookie(s) they do get.
