Jets 2022 General Talk

Douglas and Saleh are solid. They have one MASSIVE blindspot...Zach Wilson.

The only reason to get rid of either/both is their insistence on doubling down on their huge blunder.

Zach Wilson should not be considered anything more than a backup QB next year. But if he is here and they are here, they will want to prove that they were right and we were wrong about Wilson. Ugh.

So for the better of everyone involved, especially Jets fans, they need to let the Zach Wilson bubble burst and start anew with a veteran starter. Then you can draft a developmental guy in round 3 or 4. No pressure, practice squad fodder. See you in 2-3 years type of deal.

Seven wins with THIS QB room has me believing in this franchise. But for the love of all things green and white, make the right call under center...

...for a change.

I think it would be for the money. The Walton family is loaded. Woody Johnson's net worth is around $6.3B, Rob Walton by himself is $60B.  They're expecting to go big.

It’s the NFL, every owner is loaded. Okay hat team is in shambles

and there some owners that can offer a lot more than others. That's what I'm getting at. If the coaches feel like RW wasn't the problem, they'll come to work with him and a healthy Javonte Williams. Along with being the highest paid coach in the NFL. Hackett was so bad, they brought in Jerry Rosburg for in-game decision making.

They have a really good shot at landing one of the big coaches.

Crazy to think after that Chicago game which we looked so good and Mike White was clinical 300yrds and 3 tds and since then we’ve not won!!!!!!!

That Berrios drop against Minnesota was soooooo  costly.

The berrios drop against Minny, the defensive 4th and 1 against Detroit, the punt return TD by the pats.... All back breaking mistakes.

None of our QBs could complete 60% of their passes.

Mike White was most successful at racking up passing yards with a 298 per game clip, but he did that against some of the worst passing defenses in the league and couldn't get the ball into the endzone.

The truth is that we did not put out an offense that was capable of success. Once we lost enough offensive linemen and breece hall, we could no longer do anything at all in the running game. This doomed our offense because we were forced into a ton of 2nd or 3rd. Teams were able to focus their efforts on stopping the air attack and we couldn't do anything about it.

The early success buoyed by playing backup QBs and a Cleveland implosion really messed with the teams development. It created unreasonable expectations for a bad Jets team. Our defense is still incomplete. The top 5 ranking is heavily biased based on playing so many backup QBs and fielding an offense that couldn't move the ball. Teams got up on us and just drained the clock, which kept offensive stats deflated. Anytime a team actually needed to move the ball they had no problem.

The sudden pressure of "needing to win" to make the playoffs forced the Jets to screw around with the QB room, eventually culminating with Chris Streveler being brought in during a key game because the coaching staff lost their sack. Note that in week 17 when Mike white was doing absolutely nothing with the offense they didn't try to "create a spark" by of putting streveler in. It was a stupid decision made because the team couldn't handle the fans booing at home, but on the road they didn't make the same decision...

At the end of the day, and the season, this isn't a good team. Going into the year, we expected 6-8 wins. We finished with 7. That was the expectation that was considered acceptable, but now we are demanding everyone be fired? When you hire rookies to lead your team, you need to give them time to grow and learn. Lack of patience with the coaches(and players) will only result in repeating the cycle of wasting all our assets on continuos rebuilds.

I like how Zach Wilson’s mom just came out and ripped that Michael Kay report about Woody having a close relationship with Wilson’s family. She said they have spoken to Woody one time the day after the draft lmao

Michael Kay was lying his *** off and got caught lol. But people ate it up cause they hate Woody and Zach and his mom.

The last game the Jets threw a TD ZW was the QB against the Lions, since then MW and JF haven't thrown one in 5 games. If ZW sits against the Lions it could have been 6 games. Think about that for a while. Sad!!!!

Crazy isn’t it?! It’s why I get the call to fire the coaching staff. Some of these stats are nuts. Pathetic excuse of an offense.

We were never that good to begin with is the part that people aren't realizing.

We were 3-8 against winning teams. Those 3 wins were:

- @ PIT in Kenny Pickett's first game where he threw 3 picks and still almost won

- vs MIA against Skylar Thompson

- vs Buffalo (this was a good team win, can't knock it)

Aside from that, we are far from proven.

These were all good wins. We put 40 on the Dolphins, Steelers game was a comeback win after a 1-2 start to the season.

The only win we didn't really deserve was the Browns because what needed to happen that last 1:50 happened lol.

I don’t take PFF for gospel but:

Sauce #1 CB, Stingley bottom 7

Fant bottom ranked tackle

Mann top 5 punter ;)

Our boy, one of my favorites, Demario Davis aka CJ Mosley wishes he was him, top 5 LB

Tevin Jenkins top 2 OG

Zach dead last QB
