So the fact that those two foreign armies and the dragons march into Winterfell with the intent on fighting the WW wouldn't sway you to the fact that they actually may be out there?

If you're an already paranoid northerner who's been through three changes of government in the last like two years, you may be skeptical that they're just there to help, and not to make the North submit to the Targaryens again.

Fair enough, but the northerners were the one who appointed Jon King in the North (without him asking). They've shown to trust him as their leader, so I'm not sure why they would question him now.

Having a King is everything to them. It's like us giving up the constitution and then reinstating it.

When he had that talk with sansa, and she still doesnt seem to get it. There is a army of the dead coming, and they could all die and cant seem to comprehend that.

Whats there for her to get? Its a serious situation. And theres Jon, flying off, having fun. Bangin in front of Waterfalls.

She was with him crusading around gathering up Northerners and saw how serious he took the fight for Winterfell. Now hes serious half the time, and the other half hes goofing off.

Only to a handful of lords. That want that power installed to help them keep their power in their families.

Much different for everyone else during that time. And think Jorah hit that nail on the head.

Quote

“The common people pray for rain, healthy children, and a summer that never ends," Ser Jorah told her. "It is no matter to them if the high lords play their game of thrones, so long as they are left in peace." He gave a shrug. "They never are.”

Not true. Commoners care because it represents stability. They may not care who sits on the throne but it creates uncertainty when there is no system of government.

It actually did.  They opened an episode in season 6 I believe with Maggie the frog.  I believe the episode was titled valonquar

Nope. That episode was called The Wars to Come(5x01) and said nothing about a little brother. It's just not a part of the show.

Yep. The show brought up the children dying and the younger queen, but no mention of the valonqar.

I was meaning the King. Its the local lord/chief that protects their way of life. Not the crown. Look at the freefolk and hills tribes. Each group has its leader, crowns and who calls themselves king or Liege Lord means nothing to them.

And what does the the throne do? Keep those Lords from warring with eachother all the time. It was the whole point of Aegon's invasion was to stop all the wars and unite the land under one rule. The commoners do understand this much as do the lords.
