How long til the conspiracies hit that he'll make a come back in his dad's league next year?

Well, if you count people posting here--it's already happened.

Except that's all nonsense, though.

You don’t think theres any possibility he’ll be healed up by February with an itch to play football again? Especially in a league where his dad is commish and is a much less of a grind than the NFL.

That was a sad moment hearing Andrew saying that hearing the fans booing him really hurt.

There is no justification for this. Absolutely none.

He gave his all on the field and his body has been destroyed four years in a row. He was not going to be ready for week 1 and maybe not week 8.

You don't boo your QB who has won 4 playoff games for you and is walking away because he is tired of getting in car wreck equivalents with giant dudes trying to hurt him.

What if it had to do with his current injury being worse than previously known or reported? Does he deserve the boos, then?

None of the injuries that media and fans treat as "no big deal, he can play next week" are insignificant for they guy whose got to live in that body the rest of his life.

Luck said he wanted to announce it tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if Irsay leaked it to one up Luck and make it awkward for him while still in the middle of a preseason game.

That's 100% what happened. Schefter knew he met with Irsay, because Irsay told him:

Would be the best $60 mil the XFL could make in marketing

"Hey Andrew, he's all that money you lost. Come be the star!"

haha, never going to happen though obviously

I don't think he'll have an itch to play in the XFL, no. He couldn't play professional football again that soon anyway. Contractually speaking.

It would make more sense for him to make 25 million a year in the NFL and then use 15 of it to help finance his dad's league in year one.

With Blake Bortles gone, it's now certain that Mariota is the worst QB in the division.

Watson - Foles - Tannehill - Brissett - Henne - McCarron - Mariota.

That's pretty much written in stone...the Titans are a 13-3 team that Mariota manages down to a 9-7 record.

uhhhh
