Maybe I should just check out of baseball until the Marlins have all their top guys up in 2021. Their farm system looks extremely promising.

That Yamamoto kid looks incredible so far. Love his presence on the hill and that slider has some killer bite to it

It's hysterical to me that the throw in piece to make the balancing work is probably going to end up being the only piece of the Yelich trade worth anything.

And he might be Miami's #4 or #5 guy in 2 years. Zach Gallen gets his debut tonight.

Diaz will probably end up being below average at 2B, and Monte Harrison could always break out.

I think he acquired the 2 fingers in his first game. So now he's up to 12 (assuming he started with 10). On pace to set the all time MiLB record for fingers acquired in a season.

Collected from pitchers he has vanquished

Anyone know anything about James Karinchak? He's an RP prospect with the Indians. A local blogger mentioned him recently and I took a look. Dude had a 1.29 ERA last year in 48 innings (22 year old in A, High A, and Double AA) and this year is sitting at 1.69 in 16 innings (was injured coming into the year) in AA and AAA, but the eye popping part is that he has 40 Ks in 16 innings. Anyone know if the tools match the production? Future set up guy or closer? Thanks.

Yeesh no one hugging prospects anymore??

The Cardinals' farm system as a whole has been rather disappointing.  Dylan Carlson is probably our #1 overall prospect who dominated AA pitchers to a tune of 143 wRC+ at just 20 years old.  He doesn't even turn 21 for a few more months, and he's currently sporting a 210 wRC+ (admittedly in an 11 game sample size).  Nolan Gorman, probably our #2 prospect, is holding his own in High-A (a notorious pitchers' league) with a 119 wRC+ and he just turned 19 years old.  Behind those two, it's not pretty.  Elehuris Montero has struggled with injuries and AA pitching, and seems destined to repeat that next year.  Andrew Knizner is still the C of the future is still solid.  Zack Thompson, our FRP, is getting BABIP'd to death, although that's probably something to do with sample size.  Good periphreals though.  Ivan Herrera is probably the guy whose stock has elevated the most.  As a 19 year old, he posted a 136 wRC+ as a catcher.

I mean more generally, the prospects focus on the forum came because the minor league sites at that time were in rough shape. Baseball America was the best.

Nowadays BP and Fangraphs crush it. They get tons of in person looks, have good contacts to check stuff, and produce tons of content. We aren't going to add much.
